Toe walking is one of the signs telling you…

your child or students need more vestibular input! A child who struggles with toe walking often has an immature vestibular system and may need more activities that encourage:

🤸Swinging
🤸Spinning
🤸Crashing
🤸Jumping

All of these activities target the child’s vestibular system for additional input needed to help certain foundational areas of the child’s development.

Kids who struggle with vestibular input may also have a difficult time with:

😩Copying notes from the chalkboard
😩Dizziness and vertigo
😩Attention and focus in the classroom
😩Processing information

To find out what this doctor is saying about toe walking and to find out other signs that come with an underdeveloped vestibular system, leave a comment below and we’ll send you the link.

Comment “AWARE” to learn more about body and spatial awareness disruptions when this happens…

One or more retained Primitive Reflexes can cause trouble with body and spatial awareness. This may not seem like a big problem, but it does impact a child’s emotional, social and learning ability.

When a child struggles with body and spatial awareness, you may find the child:

😳Having trouble spacing letters and numbers on their paper
😳Misunderstanding personal boundaries and how to interact with their peers
😳Engaging in rough play and not paying attention in class
😳Avoiding tasks and following directions

If you think your child or student has one of these retained reflexes, comment “AWARE” and we will send you the link to learn more.
