A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AMAZING CHOIRS & PERCUSSION BAND!

On 22 September, our talented Junior Choir, Senior Choir and Percussion Band took to the stage and gave performances to be incredibly proud of!

You may have seen the amazing videos we shared on the day, but today we get to celebrate their fantastic results and well-deserved awards!

🏅 Junior Choir – Junior Diploma
🥈 Senior Choir – Silver Award
🥇 Percussion Band – GOLD AWARD!🥇

These results are a wonderful reflection of the dedication, hard work, teamwork and passion shown by every one of our learners. From learning the music and perfecting every note and beat, to stepping onto the stage with confidence — you all did an incredible job!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MR CHERANE

We would like to give a very special shout-out to Mr Cherane, our wonderful music teacher, who gives so much of himself to our school — both during the school day and through his incredible work with our choirs and percussion band.

To our learners — we are SO proud of you!

Keep singing, keep playing, keep inspiring and, most importantly, keep making beautiful music!

🏗️ GRADE 7 CRANE CREATIONS! 🏗️

Our Grade 7 learners put their focus, creativity and problem-solving skills to the test as they designed and built their very own cranes using electromagnets! 🔩🧲

What stood out most was watching our learners completely focused and engaged in the task — carefully planning, building, testing and improving their creations. The results were truly outstanding!

This assessment was about so much more than just building a crane. It was about thinking critically, working with purpose, solving problems and turning an idea into something that works.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, concentration and creativity shown by our Grade 7s.

“My teacher said…”
Most parents are aware that a primary school teacher wields authority that far exceeds the classroom. It is not easy to argue with a six-year-old citing their teacher as source! This hero worship and the immeasurable impact of teachers is the focus of this year’s World Teachers’ Day. It is celebrated annually on 5 October but in South Africa this date is during the school holiday. This year, school governing body association FEDSAS will honour our teachers on 9 October.
This year, FEDSAS is celebrating our teachers with the campaign. “There are so many stories about superhero teachers making a difference in our own or our children’s lives,” says Daniëlla van Heerden, Communication Manager at FEDSAS. “We invite everyone to share these stories, photos and videos on social media using the hashtag . FEDSAS will be sharing some of these stories on the organisation’s platforms between 5 and 9 October.”

🍎✨ HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY! ✨🍎

Today we celebrate the incredible teachers who make our school what it is. 💛

To our strong, motivated, creative, passionate and inspiring team — thank you for showing up every day with dedication, patience and a heart for our learners. You teach far more than lessons; you build confidence, encourage dreams, shape futures and make a lasting difference in the lives of our children.

Teaching is not always easy, but together, as a team, you continue to rise to every challenge, support one another and give your very best.

Thank you for everything you do — today and every day. We are incredibly grateful to have such an amazing team!**

Our Grade 6 learners put their creativity to work as they designed and built their very own paper towns!

With imagination, teamwork and plenty of artistic flair, they transformed simple paper into colourful little communities. We love seeing their creativity come to life!

HERITAGE DAY DRESS UP & END OF TERM 3 FUN!

What better way to celebrate Heritage Day and wrap up an amazing Term 3 than with a little fun, laughter and some dancing! Our teachers danced their way into our final staff meeting of the term — because who says meetings can’t start with a little groove?

A huge well done to all our learners on a fantastic Term 3! We are so proud of everything you have achieved.

To all our Edenglen families, we wish you a wonderful Heritage Day and long weekend filled with family, fun and plenty of rest. 🇿🇦

If you’re travelling, please travel safely and enjoy every moment!
