Full programmes are given for us to follow with great detail and expertise. Pat Simpson has been joined by Lyn Nash & Nina Roodt who are both experts in Preschool education. They have both been principals of their own schools & give lectures to Early Learning Students on a variety of subjects to do with preschool education. Pat is running CAPS curriculum courses for Grade R teachers to help them understand the differences between the old OBE and the new curriculum and how it will impact them as teachers. She works very closely with the Education Department and will give the teachers much needed information on how to implement the new ideas. She is also launching workshops for caregivers in the townships to help them with skills they need to teach the children so that they can be school-ready. "Give me a child for the first 5 years of his life and I will show you the man!"said the renowned educationist Maria Montessori, emphasizing the importance of the first 5 years of a child`s life.
