One week until “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”—and we can’t wait!

Join us for a Writing for Radio workshop on Saturday, 26 September as we learn how to write scripts for audio dramas.

The workshop is for writers aged 12 and older.

Each student will receive a student pack containing writing prompts and activities.

The workshop will take place in Edenvale from 09:00-11:00. Virtual tickets are available for those who can’t make it in person.

Tickets are R250 per person. Register by 31 August and get the early bird price of R200 per person.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s most well-loved comedies. It tells of the romantic entanglements of four young Athenians, the rehearsal attempts of a group of amateur actors, and feuding fairies causing drama in a magical forest. There are love spells gone wrong, comical mix-ups, shifting affections, and happy endings all round. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is an excellent introduction to Shakespeare for young people who have never read his works before.

Our A Midsummer Night’s Dream classes begin the last week of August. Join us as we explore the play and learn more about Shakespeare’s life and world. We will also learn more about the genre of comedy plays.

The 12-week course includes live virtual classes as well as essay-writing, creative writing, and recitation assignments.

Juniors: Tuesdays 09:00
Seniors: Thursdays 09:00
