Twinkle Little Stars Nursery School

The sun didn’t come to shine, but our stars certainly did ☀️✨🎽👟💪

Sports Day 2026 was a resounding success! The vibes were high as the smell of boerewors wafted over a sea of red, blue, and yellow.🌭❤️💙💛

Our opening ceremony began with a heartwarming rendition of Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika, followed by spirited war cries from our athletes that set the tone for the day.🇿🇦

And with that… the races were on! From sprints to egg-and-spoon races, bean bag balancing to sack jumping, every athlete gave it their all.🥚🥄🏃🏾‍♀️🏃‍♂️

In the end, team Neptune took home the gold, but everyone walked away feeling like a winner 🥇🪐

As we say goodbye to the month of love 🩷, we reflect on all the beautiful moments and memories that February has given us ✨

For our Valentine’s Day celebrations this year, our little Stars arrived dressed to impress, clad in gorgeous shades of pink, red, and purple 🌈💖

They polished off some delicious, fruity breakfast waffles before heading of to their first activity🧇🍓🍌

The disco!🪩 Here they showed off their awesome dance moves! 💃🕺

We slowed it down, with popcorn and a movie at our very own drive-in theatre!🎭🍿

A little birdie told us that the Grade Rs had an AMAZING time at the Montecasino Bird Park! 🐦✨

To make sure our intrepid little bird-watchers didn’t run out of steam, we kicked off the day with a delightful picnic on the beautiful lawns outside the park. 🍇🍔🧁🧺

Fueled up and ready, we set off on our adventure! The children were absolutely thrilled to be out on their very first school field trip. The park never disappoints, bursting with vibrant colours, fascinating creatures, and beautiful birds like perfectly pretty peacocks, fabulous flamingos, and terrific toucans! We even spotted South Africa’s national bird, the majestic Blue Crane. 🇿🇦💙🦚🦩🦜

With yummy slushies in hand, we settled in for the Bird Show, where the little ones watched the birds’ talents up close. Afterwards, we made our way to explore the reptiles and frogs!🥤🐸🐍

The children especially loved feeding the ducks! 🦆💛

✨A-Camping We Will Go!! ✨

Our highly anticipated Grade R Campout was held on the 20th of September! 🏕️ This rite of passage has become legendary among the Grade R students at Twinkle Little Stars, and the excitement was palpable as the enthusiastic campers arrived ready to pitch their tents and take on the evening’s festivities.🎉

Our Shooting Stars treated their families to a delightful rendition of Johnny Clegg’s “Great Heart,” followed by some classic campfire songs to set the mood! 🎶🥁

But the fun was just beginning! Families were grouped into teams before embarking on a 10-station, epic Amazing Race showdown.🏃🏾‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The competition was fierce, but the Purple Team ultimately emerged victorious! 💜🏆🫟

We ended off our night by enjoying a delicious braai and some yummy s’mores around the campfire. 🔥
The children were thrilled at the chance to stay up late and had an absolute blast playing under the stars. The perfect end to a perfect night! 🌠🌙🌌

🚂🛤️🚂 All Aboard...The Fun Train! Choo! Choo! 🎉

We celebrated the end of our land transport theme with a Road and Rail Experience.🚧

Our avid little travellers got to enjoy a few laps around the bike track before reporting for the main attraction, the cutest little train, waiting for them at the Twinkle Station. 🚏🚆

The passengers were nothing if not enthusiastic. The biggest challenge was getting them off the train.😝🤣

To round out the festivities, the hungry travellers were spoilt with a delicious robot inspired "upside-down trifle" to keep them fuelled up between laps and rides.🚦🏍️🚇

Family fun in full swing!💛🏠

It was great to see families and friends come together for our annual Grade 00 Family Board Games Night🎲♟️Where everybody got to put their teamwork and abilities to the test!

The games on offer were carefully designed to facilitate different learning areas whilst keeping both adults and children entertained!🎯😋

From the highly energetic pattern making challenge at Balloon Lagoon, to the hilarious descriptions at 40 Seconds, there was something for everyone to enjoy and everyone had a great time! ⏳🎈

We can’t wait till next year!!🤪🥳

With sand between their toes🪣, sunshine on their cheeks☀️, and music in their hearts🎶💗, our playschool classes have been having an awesome time and playing up a storm on our brand-new jungle gym!🥳🛝

A big well done to our little stars who, given our dry winter❄️🌬️, have stepped up to ensure that our plants are kept watered and thriving!🌻🪴🌿
