💚 𝗔 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 💚
This term has been a season of “lasts”, not only for our Matrics, who recently took part in their final Cambridge Derby before heading into their prelims, but also for our Principal, 𝗠𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿, who celebrated his final Founders’ Day as a Stirlite.

As Mr Prior prepares to retire at the end of this term, we find ourselves reflecting on the very special mark he has made on Stirling High School. He has been a constant presence, at every event, every Derby, on the sidelines, in the halls and always involved in the life of the school. His commitment, care and genuine love for Stirling have become such an integral part of who we are.

While we know he deserves this next chapter and the opportunity to slow down and enjoy it, we also know that a very big hole will be left behind. The Stirling family will certainly miss seeing Mr Prior at the heart of everything we do.

As we celebrate everything that has been, we look forward with excitement to the next chapter of the Stirling story. 💚

A great day on court for our Stirling mixed doubles teams. Well done to all our players for showing determination, teamwork and true Stirlite Spirit! With the playoffs coming up next week, we’re ready for another big week of tennis.

🧠 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🧠
What a fantastic evening of problem-solving, teamwork and healthy competition at our Maths Mania Evening! We were thrilled to welcome schools from across the region to compete for the coveted Maths Mania Floating Trophy.

A special welcome to Gonubie High School and West Bank, who joined us for the first time, alongside our returning schools: Beaconhurst, Lilyfontein, Hudson, Clarendon, Merrifield, Selborne, St Joseph’s and East London Science College.

The teams battled it out over three challenging rounds, putting their mathematical thinking and teamwork to the test.

Congratulations to 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗵𝗶𝘄𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗵𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗹𝗼, and the South African U16 Hockey team who returned from the Zimbabwe Junior Hockey Nationals with 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱, an accomplishment that reflects not only her individual talent, but also her ability to contribute in a team environment.

Malakhiwe’s journey is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through hard work, discipline, humility and a genuine passion for excellence.

Last Thursday, our Grade 10, Top 10 learners had the exciting opportunity to visit MBSA for an insightful plant tour.

A big thank you to Mrs Iveson for arranging this valuable experience and giving our learners the opportunity to see industry in action and broaden their horizons beyond the classroom.

Well done to our Top 10 learners for continuing to shine, strive for excellence and make us proud!

Ms X**a was recognised for her exceptional co-curricular contribution following her involvement in the Beijing Science Youth Fair, where she achieved National Gold.

What an incredible achievement, and what a wonderful testament to the passion, dedication and expertise she brings to education and our school community.

This evening, Stirling Primary School & Stirling High School came together for what we hope will be the first of many Marimba Evenings, and what a special evening it was!

From lively rhythms to beautiful melodies, our talented marimba players entertained a full house with a wonderful variety of music that was enjoyed by both the young and the “young at heart”! 🥁🎶

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible staff who poured their time, energy and passion into making this evening possible, and to everyone who came out to support our performers. A full house made the night even more special!

And a very special mention to our Matric marimba players, who performed together for the final time before heading into their prelims. What a beautiful way to create one more special memory together before this next chapter begins. 💚
