✋High Five Award Winners✋
Each week, deserving learners/staff receive a High 5 Award. This award is for learners or staff who are wonderful examples of Beaconhurst’s 5 values: respect, honesty, integrity, fairness & consistency. The prize comes in the form of a milkshake, which is kindly sponsored by Windmill Junction.
Congratulations to:

✋Bryan (Grade 2)- for always showing such beautiful manners. He never tires of offering to help in the classroom and always has a smile on his face.

✋Khanizibone (Grade 5)– for being such a polite learner who always tries her best. Her mature approach to her academics and determination make her an excellent candidate for this award. She is always willing to help and shows excellent Beaconhurst qualities.

✋Liyabona (Grade 8)- at the Stirling High Maths Mania event, he was the only learner from all the schools who stood up during one of the games and picked up the papers everyone had thrown on the floor. Seeing him do the right thing, without being asked, is an excellent example of one of our Beaconhurst values: integrity.

✋Anovuyo (Grade 12)- for consistently demonstrating leadership, responsibility, maturity and compassion. She leads by example and carries the responsibility of being Head Girl with pride and commitment.
What makes Anovuyo deserving of this award is not only her position, but the way she uses her position to encourage, support and inspire those around her. She is
approachable, respectful and willing to step up when needed. She represents the values of Beaconhurst and sets a positive example for our learners.

📐🧮 MATHS MANIA 2026!🎉

On Tuesday, some of our Grade 8 and 9 learners had an amazing time participating in Maths Mania at Stirling High School! 🧠✨

They had a blast putting their mathematical skills to the test, tackling challenges, working together and having plenty of fun along the way! 🤩👏

Our learners represented Beaconhurst with pride and showed fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork and determination throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of them! 💙

They say “Maths is all about finding the right answer” — but we think our learners found something even better: a great time!😄➗

Well done to all our Maths Mania participants! Keep challenging yourselves, keep learning and remember… there’s always a solution to every problem!😉📚

What a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, energy and wonderful Beaconhurst spirit!
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Fun Walk such a success. To our amazing learners – thank you for your enthusiasm, excitement and for taking part with such great spirit!
To our parents and families, thank you for your incredible support, participation and encouragement. Events like these would not be possible without a school community that is always willing to get involved.
And to our dedicated staff, thank you for all the planning, organising, helping and hard work behind the scenes and on the day. Your teamwork helped ensure that everything ran smoothly and a memorable day was had by all.
We are so grateful to everyone who played a part, big or small, in making our Fun Walk such a wonderful success. It was a special reminder of what can be achieved when the Beaconhurst community comes together!

Congratulations to Mrs Harding, who was selected to attend the prestigious KFC National Provincial Mini-Cricket Seminar. Her selection recognised her outstanding
contribution to promoting girls' cricket in the Border region. Mrs Harding was honoured to deliver the Border region's introductory address, where she shared the successes and initiatives of Border's programme to promote girls' cricket.

We are incredibly proud of Mrs Harding for representing Border and our school with such distinction. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement!

Congratulations to Mrs Thompson, who successfully completed her Level 2 Athletics Coaching Certificate. This remarkable achievement places her among the first four coaches in Border to attain Level 2 Coaching status and she is the first woman in Border to achieve this distinction. With this qualification, Mrs Thompson is now able to design tailored training programmes for her athletes, taking into account seasonal demands as well as each athlete’s individual strengths and weaknesses.

We are incredibly proud of Mrs Thompson and congratulate her on this outstanding accomplishment

Congratulations to Miss van Zyl, who proudly served as the U16A Border Girls' Hockey Team Manager at the Interprovincial Tournament (IPT) held in
Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

We are incredibly proud of Mrs Van Zyl for representing Border Hockey with dedication and professionalism. Her commitment to the team and to school sport is
commendable and we congratulate her on this wonderful achievement.
