Our third round of veggies this year at school....and they are growing so strong & healthy..
There is a great mix of mealies..carrots.. tomatoes..onions...broccoli ..
spinach... beetroot..
The children take pride in their individual patches....watering turning the soil lightly ..measuring weekly how much growth is taking place ..
Such fun using different items to measure their growth .
Watering is a very exciting time.
We have such a great bunch of tomatoes growing.. but we seldom get the opportunity to get to use them as we have noticed the little ones simply take them and eat them from the vine just as they ripen ..
Tomorrow everyone is back to school after a holiday and will see such an amazing growth since they were last at school.
Such an exciting project for little ones .. getting in touch with nature . . feel of the soil and realise where and how veggies grow and come from ..

After a very long absence from Facebook....I've returned with our recent celebrations for Heritage Day..and will gradually do some updates of previous happenings at the school during the year ...
Thanks to the parents who made this such a colourful and exciting occasion for the children.
Dressing in their Traditional clothing give the children a better and clearer understanding of what Heritage is all about...
The children enjoyed a morning of fun ..games and dance...
Closing the morning off with a braai..each child brought their favourite piece of meat to put on the braai for their lunch... they turned it under teacher supervision...
Once lunch was over their eyes were so heavy and tummies so full a good sleep was in order..
Waking up came too soon and could not get those little peepers open...
A eventful day was had by all..π»π»π»π»π»πΈπ·πΊπππ
