"Excellence through Balance" means encouraging our learners not only to master what they learn in the classroom, but to take that knowledge further - to explore, question, innovate and find solutions to real-world challenges.

𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗯𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 did exactly that at the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, where her innovative project earned her a Silver Award!

Inspired by her Physical Sciences lessons on sound waves, Anaishe set out to deepen her understanding and combined Physics and Information Technology in a hybrid project exploring potential improvements to hearing aids.

The Eskom Expo provides young scientists with an opportunity to develop their research, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills - and Anaishe embraced that opportunity brilliantly.

We are incredibly proud to see a Hudsonian taking learning beyond the textbook and turning curiosity into innovation.

Congratulations, Anaishe! Keep questioning. Keep exploring. Keep pushing the boundaries of what you can achieve.

Our talented Visual Art learners produced an exceptional set of results at the East London High Schools' Exhibition Awards for Visual Art, coming away with an incredible 84 awards!

These results are a fantastic celebration of the creativity, talent and dedication within our Visual Art department and speak to the hours of thought, experimentation and hard work that go into every piece.

Our Grade 10 & 11 learners stepped up in a BIG way for our Term 3 SANBS Blood Drive, achieving an incredible 90 successful blood donations!

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀. 𝟵𝟬 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Proof that when Hudsonians are given the opportunity to make a difference, they show up.

For 𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, the Peter Cuff Water Polo Tournament has brought together fierce competition, unforgettable rivalries and memories that last long after the final whistle.

In 2026, we do it all again — and this year, 𝟮𝟮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟯𝟯𝟬 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 are heading to The Park for three action-packed days of water polo.

Our Head of Sport, Ms Branford, Aquatics Consultant Mr Weideman, and Head of Aquatics Mr Carter have successfully completed their Level 2 First Responder training with Alderson Ambulance.

From the pool deck to the sidelines, they’re now even better equipped to respond when every second counts.

Another step towards creating a safer sporting environment for our Hudsonians. ❤️💙

Today, we celebrate the creativity, confidence, commitment and courage of our learners who continue to excel across our Cultural Pillar.

From those receiving 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀, to our exceptional 𝗖𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗠𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗚𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗾𝗼𝗺𝗼, every award represents countless hours of preparation, rehearsal, practice and the willingness to step onto a stage, stand behind a microphone, pick up an instrument, create something original or confidently share an idea.

𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡’𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞

Last week, we celebrated Women’s Week by creating space for the young women of Hudson Park to listen, learn, ask questions and be empowered.

Across two special assemblies, our female learners had the opportunity to hear from two remarkable women who shared their knowledge, experience and encouragement.

𝗠𝘀 𝗡𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘂 𝗠𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼, Clinical Psychologist, author and postgraduate research supervisor, spoke openly about 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽.

Her message was a powerful reminder that our past may shape us, but it does not have to define our future — and that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but an act of courage.

Our second assembly welcomed 𝗗𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, who engaged our learners in an important conversation about 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Two assemblies. Two very different conversations. One shared purpose: 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽, 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻.

As a school, education goes far beyond what happens in the classroom. It is also about preparing our learners to understand themselves, care for themselves, believe in themselves and navigate the world with confidence.
