𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗢 | 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗚 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

Our u15 Boys wrapped up a competitive Sterrenberg Tournament with plenty of valuable water polo under their belts.

Playing against quality opposition throughout the tournament, the boys were involved in a number of tightly contested matches before finishing their campaign with a commanding performance in their final play-off.

One Hudsonian had even more reason to celebrate…

A huge congratulations to 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲, whose performances earned him selection to the 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 AND the individual honour of being named 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿.

To be recognized amongst the standout players at a tournament of this calibre is a fantastic achievement. Well done, Duncan!

After earning her place at the International Eskom Expo for Young Scientists, 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗯𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 has returned home with a 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 - an outstanding achievement on an international stage.

The competition brought together more than 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 from all nine South African provinces, alongside projects from 12 other countries, making this recognition even more significant.

Anaishe’s journey began with a curiosity about sound waves in her Physical Sciences classroom and grew into an innovative project combining Physics and Information Technology to explore improvements to hearing aids. To see that work now recognized at this level is something very special.

Anaishe, you have represented yourself and Hudson Park with distinction. We are incredibly proud of you!

There's something incredibly special about seeing our Old Hudsonians return to Hudson Park and give back to the school that was once their home.

A huge thank you to 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘀 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟱) of Pave Master for his incredibly generous sponsorship of the new paving outside our tuckshop area!

Derick's contribution has given this busy space a fantastic upgrade that will be enjoyed by our current Hudsonians and many generations still to come.

This is what the Hudson Park family is all about. Nearly 31 years after leaving our school, Derick is still making a difference at Hudson Park.

Thank you, Derick, for investing in the next generation of Hudsonians and showing us what it truly means to be an Old Hudsonian.

𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡

She’s only in 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟴 - and she’s already an Eastern Cape 𝘂𝟭𝟲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻!

𝗘𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗼 𝗡𝗴𝗲𝘄𝘂 produced an exceptional performance at the Eastern Cape Closed Chess Festival in Jeffreys Bay over the holidays, competing above her age group in the u16 division.

Representing BCM, Elowo first helped the u16 team secure a silver medal before turning her attention to the individual u16 Girls Championship.

𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀. 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀. 𝗨𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻.

Her flawless run earned her gold and the title of 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘂𝟭𝟲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻. To achieve this while only in Grade 8 makes an already impressive result even more exciting.

And this is only the beginning. The result marks an important step on Elowo’s chess journey towards the 𝗠𝘇𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀𝗶 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, where she will have the opportunity to test herself against some of South Africa’s top young chess talent.

While our learners and staff are enjoying a well-earned break, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸!

Work on our astro is progressing, and it’s exciting to see just how much the landscape is changing.

With every layer laid and every stage completed, we’re getting closer to welcoming our hockey players onto their very own home turf.

Our U15A Boys are in the pool at Selborne College this weekend as they compete in the 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 this weekend! 🌊🤽‍♂️

They’ve got some great water polo ahead of them and we’re looking forward to seeing them take on the challenge and give it their all in the pool.

Good luck, boys! Play for each other, enjoy the tournament and make Hudson Park proud.

A fantastic weekend at the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼-𝗘𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 has ended with plenty to celebrate for Hudson Park!

Our 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, finishing 3rd overall and climbing two places from their 5th place finish in 2025.

Our 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹, moving up an impressive three positions from 8th place in 2025.

These results are another exciting indication of a Hudson Park water polo programme that continues to grow in strength.

Progress like this doesn't happen overnight. It is built through countless hours in the pool, committed coaching, hard work and a group of players who continue to push themselves and each other.

A huge congratulations to both teams, and our dedicated aquatics coaches whose commitment to developing our players and strengthening the programme continues to show in the results.

We are incredibly proud of the progress being made - and excited about where Hudson Park Water Polo is heading.

What a battle from our 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀!

A nail-biting semi-final that went all the way to a penalty shootout after the scores were locked at 𝟯–𝟯 𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. In an incredibly tight finish, the girls went down 0–1 in the shootout.

Now it’s time to regroup and go again.

Our girls take on St Peter’s at 12h00 in the battle for a place on the podium.

Our 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 have put together a fantastic run at the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼-𝗘𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, heading into the quarter-finals unbeaten.

In a tightly contested quarter-final against Thomas More College, the boys fought right to the final whistle, narrowly going down 8–9.

There’s still one more big game to play!

The boys take on Reddam House Bedfordview at 11h15 in the 5th/6th place playoff.

Our 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀’ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 remain 𝗨𝗡𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗡 at the National Co-Ed Water Polo Tournament and have secured their place in the 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀!
