The Peter Cuff Water Polo Tournament has been part of the Hudson Park story for more than three decades - and in 2026, we’re inviting our Old Hudsonians to become part of its legacy.

With 22 teams, 330+ players and hundreds of supporters heading to The Park from 11–13 September, this is a fantastic opportunity to put your business in front of the Hudson Park and broader East London community.

From Hudson Park to one of the biggest nights in South African entertainment - 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘄𝗮 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮) continues to make us incredibly proud.

Taking centre stage as host of the 𝟯𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 (𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗔𝟯𝟮) alongside Cassper Nyovest, Zanele delivered a performance that has earned widespread praise for her 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲.

For the Hudson Park and Old Hudsonian community, this was more than another impressive career milestone. It was a wonderful full-circle moment for someone whose journey in broadcasting has been built steadily through talent, hard work and an unmistakable ability to connect with people.

From radio to television and now commanding one of South Africa’s biggest entertainment stages, 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

𝗧𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘀

𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔 𝗛𝗨𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗡, 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗔 𝗛𝗨𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗡

It hasn’t been long since 𝗠𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗞𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗼 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱) walked out of the Hudson Park gates for the last time as a learner, but her hockey journey is already taking her to exciting new places.

Now playing for 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, Mbali recently represented the university at USSA, where her team finished fourth. Months of hard work leading up to selection paid off, with Mbali also managing to keep a clean sheet during the tournament.

She is currently representing Southern Gauteng at the U21 IPT, continuing to build on the hockey journey that began during her years at The Park.

And despite moving on to new teams, new teammates and new challenges, Hudson remains part of her story.

“I am grateful for the foundation that Hudson Park built for me. None of these achievements would have been possible without my years at Hudson.”

That’s what being an Old Hudsonian is all about - you may leave The Park, but a little piece of The Park goes with you.

For one morning, our Old Hudsonians return to Hudson Park and become the celebrities of the day. Welcomed with applause, they step back into the halls where their own journeys began, sharing stories, memories and life lessons with the next generation.

It’s a moment where current Hudsonians are reminded that they are part of something far bigger than themselves - a legacy built by generations who have proudly worn the red and white before them.

What a privilege it was to welcome home 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼 𝗧𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗶 and 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗵𝗼 𝗚𝗲𝘇𝗮 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟲) as special guests for our Reunion Derby First XV Jersey Handover.

Ten years after pulling on the famous red and white jersey themselves, Alulutho and Libho returned to The Park to pass the torch to the next generation.

It was truly special for our First XV to hear from two passionate Old Hudsonians and former First XV players whose love for the school and the jersey remains as strong today as it was a decade ago. Their words served as a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Hudson Park and the legacy that every player has the privilege of carrying forward.

Another Reunion Weekend has come and gone, and what a special few days it has been.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸. Whether you pulled on the jersey one more time, cheered from the sidelines, caught up with old friends, or simply walked the grounds filled with memories, you reminded us that 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗛𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

Your support, stories and presence made this Reunion one to remember, and we hope you enjoyed every moment as much as we did.

As many of you saw over the weekend, Hudson Park continues to grow. 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆 to ensure today's learners have opportunities that will shape their futures. Like many schools, we continue to face the challenge of budget constraints, which means many of these projects rely on additional fundraising.

What a wonderful way to kick off Reunion Weekend as we welcomed back so many of our former staff members and Old Hudsonians to Hudson Park.

The evening was filled with laughter, memories and stories from years gone by, reminding us just how much our school has been shaped by the remarkable people who have walked its halls.

One story stood out in particular... did you know that school girls' water polo in East London began with Mrs Ford's vision? Wanting to keep her "dream team" netball players fit and match-ready during the summer months, she introduced girls' water polo - a decision that would go on to leave a lasting legacy in East London school sport.

These are the stories that make coming home so special. ❤️🤍

It's the beginning of four days of reconnecting, reminiscing and celebrating the people, stories and traditions that have made Hudson Park what it is today.
