A massive thank you to 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘀 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟱) of Pave Master for giving back to Hudson Park with the generous sponsorship of new paving outside the tuckshop.

It's wonderful to see our alumni continuing to invest in the school and creating a lasting legacy for future generations.

Another match. Another century.

Old Hudsonian 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗤𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳) continues his incredible run of form for South Africa ‘A’, ending Day 1 of the second 4-day match against Bangladesh ‘A’ on 𝟭𝟭𝟭*.

And yes… this comes 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟬* 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵.

There are few things that make us prouder than watching an Old Hudsonian step onto the international stage.

Congratulations to 𝗡𝗾𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬), who has been recalled to the Proteas squad for South Africa’s upcoming white-ball tour of Namibia.

For Nqaba, pulling on the national jersey remains something special:

When 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮) took to the field at Ellis Park to face the All Blacks yesterday, there was another Hudsonian in the stands cheering him on.

𝗦𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗶 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮) was there to watch a fellow Old Hudsonian step onto one of rugby’s biggest stages - and walk away as Man of the Match.

𝗧𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

These are the moments that remind us what being an Old Hudsonian is all about: showing up, backing one another and celebrating each other’s journeys - wherever life takes us.

The Peter Cuff Water Polo Tournament has been part of the Hudson Park story for more than three decades - and in 2026, we’re inviting our Old Hudsonians to become part of its legacy.

From Hudson Park to one of the biggest nights in South African entertainment - 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘄𝗮 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮) continues to make us incredibly proud.

Taking centre stage as host of the 𝟯𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 (𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗔𝟯𝟮) alongside Cassper Nyovest, Zanele delivered a performance that has earned widespread praise for her 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲.

For the Hudson Park and Old Hudsonian community, this was more than another impressive career milestone. It was a wonderful full-circle moment for someone whose journey in broadcasting has been built steadily through talent, hard work and an unmistakable ability to connect with people.

From radio to television and now commanding one of South Africa’s biggest entertainment stages, 𝗭𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

Congratulations, Zanele. You didn’t simply host the SAMAs — you owned the stage. ❤️🤍

𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔 𝗛𝗨𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗡, 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗔 𝗛𝗨𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗡

It hasn’t been long since 𝗠𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗞𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗼 (𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱) walked out of the Hudson Park gates for the last time as a learner, but her hockey journey is already taking her to exciting new places.

Now playing for 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, Mbali recently represented the university at USSA, where her team finished fourth. Months of hard work leading up to selection paid off, with Mbali also managing to keep a clean sheet during the tournament.

She is currently representing Southern Gauteng at the U21 IPT, continuing to build on the hockey journey that began during her years at The Park.

And despite moving on to new teams, new teammates and new challenges, Hudson remains part of her story.

“I am grateful for the foundation that Hudson Park built for me. None of these achievements would have been possible without my years at Hudson.”

That’s what being an Old Hudsonian is all about - you may leave The Park, but a little piece of The Park goes with you.
