CONGRATULATIONS to our Chamber Choir on being selected to go through to the finals of the AKTV-APPLOUS National Choral Competition to be held in Cape Town on 24 July in the City Hall.

This incredible honour was bestowed upon our Chamber Choir after their energetic and unforgettable performance at the Applous Regionals in East London where they received gold.

The ATKV-Applous competition is the oldest choir competition in the country and this year they are celebrating 47 years!

Only the top South African choirs are selected to perform in this prestigious final of the National ATKV-Applous competition. This is an incredible honour for our choir as we are the only primary school representing the Eastern Cape in the primary school section.
Congratulations to our choristers and their conductor, Miss Sandra Kruger, accompanist, Mrs Michelle Venter and our music department on this outstanding achievement - a first of its kind for Clarendon Primary.

We also would like to congratulate our “big sisters” who also made it through to the final round and wish them all the best for the competition.

Today, the Grade 7s had an exciting opportunity to play a game with Capitec called "Budget Champs." This interactive activity was not only enjoyable but also incredibly informative, helping our students learn about budgeting and covering key financial literacy topics from their EMS curriculum.

A big thank you to Capitec for providing our girls with such a valuable and fun experience!

This week our very talented music teacher and trombonist extraordinaire , Mr Hugo Smit, will be performing with the Buffalo City Big Band at the Guild Theatre on Saturday, 1 June.

Don't miss the annual Elfest Art Exhibition before it closes on Thursday afternoon! This year, the Primary School Art category had strict entry limits: 20 2D artworks, 10 3D pieces, and 1 group work per school. Clarendon Primary entered 28 individual artworks and 1 group work. We're thrilled to announce that our group work received a stunning triple Gold award! Additionally, we earned 3 Double Gold, 15 Gold, 8 Silver, and 3 Bronze awards. Congratulations to our talented artists! It's an honor to have your work featured in an Eisteddfod. 🎨🏆

We would like to congratulate our two Clarrie stars, Khwezi Magobongo and Zubenathi Gosani on their selection to represent the u12 and u13 Eastern Cape netball sides to be held in Boksburg on the 15th of June. We are so proud of our netball girls for flying the Clarendon flag high.
