CALL FOR APPLICATIONS SERVICES SETA BURSARIES BCMM YOUTH
The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (Services SETA) invites bursary applications for the 2019 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded to those studying towards the following service sector qualifications (undergraduate and postgraduate):
• Business Administration
• Public Administration
• Business Management
• Media Studies
• Communication Studies
• Real Estate
• Human Resources
• Property Development
• Marketing
• Hair and Personal Care
• Project Management
• Maritine Studies
Scarce and critical skills in other sectors and not direct with other SETAs:
• Metallurgy
• Economics
• Mechatronics
• Sociology
• Actuarial Science
• Anthropology
• Medical scientist
• Web and multimedia developers
• Telecommunication Engineering
Bursaries are open to unemployed applicants (18 – 35 years) who are registered towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications with any public TVET College, University of Technology or University within the Republic of South Africa.
The Services SETA bursary will cover a maximum of R 65 000 for university and R35 000 for TVET college.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
If unemployed, must meet the following criteria:
• South African citizen
• Between the ages of 18 and 35 years’ old
• Currently unemployed
• Admission letter from the institution of learning
HOW TO APPLY:
Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):
ID document (certified copy)
Matric certificate/ results, if entering the first year of study (certified copy)
Latest tertiary academic record, if in second or subsequent year of tertiary study (certified copy)
Proof of acceptance from your tertiary institution, for first year and returning students (to be submitted before before funding is confirmed)
Parents/ Guardians ID documents (certified copies)
Parents/ Guardians proof of income (latest payslip etc)
Name of your municipality
Proof of Residence
Application forms are available at any Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Youth Advisory Centers within the Community Support Centers in Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, i.e. Mdantsane Library Complex, King William’s Town Civic Centre, Duncan Village Art Centre and in East London Trust Centre Building 7th Floor office number 706 and Harambe Office at the East London Central Library
