🚑 Life skills that could one day make all the difference!

Our Grade 6 learners had a fantastic visit from Alderson’s for some hands-on first-aid training as part of their Life Skills curriculum. They learnt essential skills including CPR, how to care for burns and wounds, and so much more.

Learning isn't just about what happens in the classroom. It's about gaining the knowledge, confidence and courage to make a difference when it matters most.

Another adventure in learning, another set of skills for life!

Are you ready to test your limits, conquer the elements, and experience the ultimate rush of teamwork? The AR26 WILD is officially calling your name!

On Saturday, 5 September 2026, Lilyfontein School and its breathtaking surrounding terrains will become your ultimate playground.

We have a challenge tailored for every fitness level and age group. Round up your squad and pick your poison:
Choose Your Adventure:

BUSH WACKER (± 60KM): For the ultimate thrill-seekers. Teams of 2 or 4 (U15 School Teams / Mixed Teams 14+). Teams of 2 must have 1 adult.
Duo: R1000 | Quad: R2000 per team

MUD OVERLOAD (± 25KM): Prepare to get dirty! Teams of 2 or 4 (U13 School Teams / Mixed Teams 12+). Teams of 2 must have 1 adult.
Duo: R500 | Quad: R1000 per team

LITTLE LYNXES (± 12KM): Perfect for our rising stars in Grades 4 - 5. Teams of 4 only.
R720 per team

ADVENTURE CUBS (± 6KM): Big fun for the little ones in Grades 1 - 3. Teams of 4 only.

Schools MTB Series: The Battle for the Top! 🚴‍♂️🔥

The Buffalo City Cycling Schools MTB Series has delivered five exciting events, with an incredible 569 attendance points recorded across the Primary and High School categories.

🏆 Primary Schools: Lilyfontein dominated the standings with 150 points, followed by Stirling on 117and Merrifield on 114.

🔥 High Schools: Lilyfontein also took top honours with 27 points, ahead of Merrifield (14), Ooskus Gimnasium (10) and Stirling (9).

With riders earning points simply by getting to the start line, the series is all about participation, commitment and growing the sport of mountain biking.

A massive congratulations to every rider, school, parent, coach and volunteer who helped make the series such a success! The future of MTB is looking bright! 🚵‍♀️💨

🌟 A wonderful achievement for Teagan! 🌟

We are thrilled to celebrate Teagan, who recently completed her Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Repertoire Level 3 examination.

With a fantastic score of 69/100, Teagan was awarded HIGH MERIT for Variation 1! ✨

Her dedication, discipline and love for dance have truly paid off, and we couldn't be prouder of this wonderful achievement.

Well done, Teagan! Keep dancing, keep dreaming and keep embracing every adventure along the way!

Maths is so much more fun when we get hands-on!

Our Grade R learners have been busy exploring numbers and building their early maths skills through a variety of fun activities. From building towers with a specified number of blocks , to rolling dice and creating sums , picking playing cards to make number sentences , and counting pictures to write their own sums!
