Jacks and Jills Pre-School Selborne

All good things must come to an end and it is with a sad and heavy heart that after 12 years my school will close its doors in East London . I have loved teching such amazing children over the years and have met such wonderful families in doing so. Everyday I felt excited to get up and embrace the day at my school. The children made my days happy and I loved being creative through work, music and play.. This door closes and another one will open for me in New Zealand.. Teaching is a calling and I want to thank all the families that have been through Jack's and Jill's pre schools doors for your love support and for entrusting your children into my care. You came as parents and left as friends..

Our annual outing to the Fleet street fire department was a very exciting and informative morning for both the children and parents that attended. We learnt alot and saw the equipment the fire fighters use like the Jaws of life and oxygen tanks. The children had fun spraying water from the hose as well as slide down the fireman's pole.. The highlight of the morning was definitely the ride in the fire engine. A big thank you to the firemen from D platoon. You interacted well with the children.. We celebrated Heritage day last week at school and learnt all about our beautiful country South Africa. We did some creative work in art and we had a tasting day sampling different South African foods like biltong, milk tart, dried fruit and koeksisters. The children could dress up in anything South African. We had bokke supporters.. Animals and traditional outifits. Learning is so much fun.

Dress up as a profession day at Jack's and Jill's pre school 2019. The children loved dressing up as someone they want to be when they grow up. Clearly the girls all want to be professional dancers. A fun morning was had by all.

We had fun while enjoying our transport theme doing art, baking, music and playing.

A busy four days at my holiday club 2019. The children did arts and crafts daily as well as baking and also had a Scavenger hunt, relay races, face painting and played the chocolate game. Four days of fun and creative crafts.. I hope the children enjoyed it as much as I did..

Father's day concert 2019 was a special morning where the children gave their dad's each a lovely frame and artwork.. The children sang songs and afterwards the dads all had a cup of coffee and something to eat and a chance to chat to each other.. A great morning for the super Jack's and Jill's fathers.

Out second term ended off with an outing to. Lyndale farm. The children loved learning about birds..reptiles and the chinchillas. A fun and educational morning for both the children and parenrs' a big thank you to Robyn Bush for always making it such an exciting morning.

To celebrate mother's day we had a special concert for the mums. The children sang songs and I read stories they had told me about their mums. These were funny as many children think their mums are either very young or very old. They each gave their mum a gift. A beautiful heart which they had mosaiced. The mums then enjoyed a tea with tasty treats.. Happy mothers to these lovely ladies.

We had an excting and fun filled morning when we went to Guidos and the EL aquarium. We learnt about the penguin and other sea creatures and made our own delicious pizza.
