Did you know . . . that the Moms and Babes Workshop was developed by an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist for babies in their first year to enhance development and strengthen the bond between mother and baby.
Nicky Lasch is a Paediatric Physiotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience in the treatment of babies and young children. Nicky has specialised in Neurodevelopmental Therapy and M.A.E.S. Therapy. As a clinical supervisor, guest speaker and owner of a multidisciplinary practice in Johannesburg, Nicky remains passionate about Early Intervention and its impact on the developing brain.
And . .
Kate has been working in the area of Paediatrics since 1986. She has specialised in the areas of Sensory Integration, Neurodevelopmental Therapy and DIR/Floortime. Kate presently works with babies, toddlers and young children who are at risk due to Prematurity, Developmental delay, Syndromes, Sensory Regulatory Disorders, Sensory Integration Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Visual Impairment and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

Our experienced team of early childhood educators and developmental experts have designed a range of fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities that are specifically tailored to your baby's needs. Through our program, your baby will develop essential skills such as hand-eye coordination, social interaction, language and communication, and much more.
Babes groups are split into groups, Tiny Babes (2 To 6 Months), Babes (6 To 9 Months) and Busy Babes (9 To 12 Months).

Sleep 😴 or lack of is always a hot topic in our classes
Sleep routines are incredibly important for babies and toddlers; they provide structure, promote healthy sleep habits, and contribute to their overall well-being.
Routines establish consistency and predictability in a child’s daily life. Babies and toddlers thrive on routine and knowing what to expect. When they have a consistent sleep routine, it helps create a sense of security and familiarity. They understand that bedtime is approaching, and their bodies and minds prepare for sleep. This predictability helps them transition from wakefulness to sleep more easily, reducing resistance or anxiety around bedtime.
