Proudly Border. Proudly Round Table. 🇿🇦

This past weekend, Border had the privilege of hosting ASSCO 2, with Border representatives stepping up and flying the flag in true Border fashion.

A great example of the strength of our Round Table family, with representation from across the organisation:

• Present RT President — Wessel Dreyer
• Past Ladies Circle President — Yolandi Gray-Browne
• Past Past 41ERs President — Suren Packery

Different chapters, different organisations, but one family, one spirit and one shared commitment to making a difference.

This is Border. This is Round Table. Proudly Border.

A huge congratulations to Round Table East London No. 1 on hosting a fantastic Sunday Funday Bowls Day. 👏

Events like these showcase what Round Table is all about—fellowship, community, and making a real difference. It was great to see members, families, and supporters come together for a day of friendly competition, laughter, and giving back.

The blankets and warm clothing collected for the Winter Knights Project will go a long way in bringing warmth and hope to those in need this winter. Initiatives like this continue to make the Border Area proud.

Well done to everyone involved, the sponsors, volunteers, prize winners, and every person who contributed to making the day a success. Together, we continue to prove that adopting, adapting, and improving starts with serving our communities.

Earlier in June, East London No. 1 Chairman Johan Crous proudly represented his club and Border Area during his international visit to Estonia.

His journey began in Tallinn, where he was warmly home hosted by members of Estonia No. 1 before exploring the city’s rich history and enjoying a traditional Estonian breakfast. Johan then travelled to Viljandi to attend the AGMs of Estonia No. 1 and No. 17, followed by the opening glamour night that celebrated fellowship from across the Round Table world.

The weekend also included a tour of a local glass factory, where international delegates had the opportunity to create their own glass keepsakes—a unique reminder of an unforgettable experience. After returning to Tallinn for one final home host stay, Johan made the journey back to South Africa.

Thank you, Johan, for proudly representing Border Area and strengthening the friendships that make Round Table truly international.

What an incredible evening at the Chairman’s Raid hosted by Queenstown 16.

With one of the largest tables in the Border Area and the biggest 41ers club in South Africa, this was always going to be a raid worth attending—and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Over 90% of the Executive Council made the trip, joined by 41ers Association President Jan Nel and our own ARTSA President, Wessel Dreyer. The fellowship, camaraderie and spirit of Round Table were on full display, and it was fantastic to see our area in such a strong place. The warmth and hospitality of Queenstown 16 certainly left a lasting impression on our travelling 41ers.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the evening such a success.

Next stop: Aliwal 55 on 16 July. See you there!

What started as a friendly challenge ended with something far bigger than a finish line.

This past weekend, the Stutt Stumble brought the rivalry between our Border Area Chairman, Dylan Love, and Stutterheim 103 Chairman, Damian Strydom, to a close. For the past three weeks, the two kept each other accountable by sharing their training journey and encouraging others to get moving.

The real victory wasn’t about who crossed the line first—it was about what the challenge represented:

🏃 Men’s health awareness.
🤝 Accountability.
❤️ Fellowship.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved. Stutterheim 103 can hold their heads high. The Stutt Stumble is an incredible community initiative, and seeing so many people come together in support was inspiring.

Damian, thank you for accepting the challenge and embracing the spirit behind it. Until next year!

Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there. 👏

Our Area Chairman is lacing up his running shoes for a cause bigger than the finish line. What started as a challenge between Mr Chair and Stutt 103 Chairman Damian Strydom has become a journey focused on raising awareness for men’s mental health and encouraging fathers and men everywhere to take care of themselves.

With the final week upon us, the countdown to the Stutt Stumble is on. We look forward to seeing everyone there and celebrating the spirit of fellowship, fitness and fatherhood.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing fathers out there. See you at the Stumble!
