Merrifield was very well represented at the National School Mountain Biking finals, held in Stellenbosch last week.
U15: Ethan Sergel, Lisakanya Zantsi and Madison Strydom
Junior Category: Mya MacEwan, Wona Zantsi, Vuya Mdaka, Tigane Annesley and Leo Annesley.

🌟 EXCELLENCE ON THE NIDPSC STAGE! 🌟
Congratulations to Paxton Luyt on an extraordinary performance at the National Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship (NIDPSC) hosted by Bishops College in Cape Town.

Competing against top talent from across the country, Paxton delivered a masterclass in eloquence, critical thinking, and poise under pressure, qualifying for an incredible 3 individual finals:
🎙️ Finalist – Debating
🎙️ Finalist – Persuasive Speech
🥈 2nd Place Overall – Impromptu Speaking
With a stellar 7th place ranking overall in the entire competition, Paxton has officially qualified for the national team to compete at the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship (WIDPSC) in Shanghai China in 2027!
Representing our school and country on the world stage, is an extraordinary milestone, and a testament to Paxton’s dedication, hard work, and skill.

Congratulations to our Grade 7s Senogo Masoeu and Anganathi Nyoli, who represented the Border U14 soccer team at the National IPT tournament played in Benoni during the holidays. This is a real honour as both boys are still U13! Grade 8 Merrifielders, Jonathan Mosehana and Ethan Mazikana, were also part of the Border U14 team. Well done to all our soccer stars!
