Pick up sticks.
The pincer grasp is the use of the thumb and the index finger. As adults this is second nature and possibly our most commonly used grasp when picking items up. For babies, this grasp needs to be developed.
Pick up sticks/ animal rescue, or whatever you decide to use, this activity is amazing for little ones who are building the finger muscles and developing that pincer grasp. It also allows baby to problem solve.
Please watch your children with this activity, sticks are a choking hazard!

Taste safe foam.
Where are the chickpea loving moms? Don't waste that liquid gold in the tin. Make some foam for the kids.
This is a great and easy play activity for babies and toddlers, 6m+.
Add some kitchen utensils, toy animals or cars for extended fun.

Moon Sand
- This is a great sensory activity for babies and toddlers!
- Add a few toys, animals, or even create a beach with some water. Hide toys for baby to find or use imaginative play with your toddlers. Build sandcastles on rainy days. The possibilities are endless.
- It is taste safe, so suitable for babies 6m+, however parental supervision is important. Taste safe means it will not harm baby if mouthed, but it should not be eaten in large quantities.
- Vegetable oil, such as coconut oil, olive oil, etc. can be used.
- The recipe makes a small quantity so double up for the ultimate fun!

- Cause and effect when smashing castles.
- Texture exposure leads to motor skill development
- Communication and language acquisition, talk to baby or toddler.
