π Intermediate and Senior Phase Sports Day π
Our Grade 4 to Grade 7 Learners participated in their annual Sports Day this term. It was a nice sunny day, perfect for all the races that took place.
The crowd favourite was Tug Of War between the different classes in each grade. There were lots of laughs amongst everyone throughout the day.
π Foundation Phase: Grade R π
Our Grade R Learners used popcorn to learn about their five senses is a fun and engaging way to observe many different things. Grade R girls and boys used their sense of sight, smell, touch, sound, and taste to observe this fluffy, white treat. Lots of fun was had by all! π©΅

The Grade 1 and Grade 7 learners celebrated the end of Term 2 with a dance party! Loads of fun was had by all! π

On the 28 May 2024 , our Foundation Phase children had the best day ever. Partaking in GOLYMPICS.
All the learners, teachers and parents had so much fun on this beautiful day. Everyone listened so nicely and truly did their best. A special shout out to the winning classes, 1a, 2a and 3d πͺπΌ.

Our Grade R learners attended a live production at the Guild Theatre called "The boy who cried Ninja".
The production was thoroughly enjoyed by our boys and girls.

Yesterday, our Grade 1 learners had their own election day so that they could have the voting experience. Each Grade 1 class voted for their new class captains.
The votes were counted and announced in this mornings assembly.

Well done to all our Crewe Primary athletes who participated in the Cross-country event on Friday, 10 May 2024, at Ooskus Gimnasium.
Special mention must go to Masivuye Dyosini in Grade 7 who came 2nd in her age group. Well done, Masivuye!

π Senior Phase: Grade 7 π
Our Grade 7 learners have been learning about tensile strength through experimenting in Natural Sciences. The learners used yoghurt containers, string and marbles to test the tensile strength of various objects.
Lots of fun was had during the experiment and practical. Thank you to our Grade 7 Natural Science teachers for making learning fun for our learners! π©΅
It is with a very heavy heart that we bid farewell to Sylvia Thukuthe.
It was Sylvia Thukuthe's retirement party yesterday with her aftercare colleagues, after working at Crewe Primary School for 25 years.
We want to thank Sylvia for everything she has done for our school over the many years and we wish her everything of the best for the future.
We are going to miss you, Sylvia! π©΅
π CREWE FAMILY RAINBOW WALK/RUN π
We are very excited to announce and host our VERY FIRST Crewe Family Rainbow Walk/Run and Picnic on the 8 JUNE 2024.
All children, families, and the community at large are invited to join in on the fun! This will take place in the form of a 2.5km walk/run on a route near the school.
Tickets are R100.00 per person participating in the walk/run and R20.00 for those just visiting and attending the picnic after the walk/run.
Tickets can be bought from your children's class teacher at school or from the front office between 07:30 - 14:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 - 14:00 on Fridays.
Our PTA Committee will be selling food, cool drinks and snacks. Bring your picnic blankets and enjoy the morning with us. π©΅
