Somebody shared with me last week(I can't remember who) that there's a teen who faked her own kidnapping because she wanted to see her parents reaction.
This obviously broke my heart. And the 1st thing that came into my mind was that she obviously felt unseen,unheard,unimportant and neglected.

Parents get really caught up in their own lives(Career,relationships etc) and provide only the basics for their kids(because that's what their busy schedules allow them to shame). Now teens may understand this but a teen going through so many changes,transitions and emotions really need a parent that is there 💯

I feel like baby girl wanted to shift her parent's focus ikhe ibekuye for once.
