HIGH SCHOOL:

Making a Difference Where It Matters Most

As previously shared, we are immensely proud of Jayden and his appointment to the Junior City Council.

The Junior City Council is a non-political programme that fosters leadership, civic responsibility, and community engagement among young people. Through workshops, debates, and community projects, learners gain valuable insight into leadership, community development, and municipal matters.

As part of his role, Jayden is required to identify a need within his community and develop a project that will make a meaningful impact. Before graduating from the programme, he will present his project to fellow Junior City Councillors, senior councillors, and parents, showcasing the journey, challenges, and successes of his initiative.

We are excited to share that Jayden's community project is already well underway. Working closely with Father's Heart in Fisantekraal, his project focuses on collecting and distributing sanitary packs and stationery packs for less fortunate children in the community. Through this initiative, Jayden is not only addressing practical needs but also helping to restore dignity, confidence, and hope to those who need it most.

Watch this space. There may soon be an opportunity for our school community to get involved and support this incredible cause.

Jayden, we are tremendously proud of your leadership, compassion, and determination to make a difference. Your willingness to serve others and create positive change is truly inspiring. May the lives you touch be blessed, and may you in turn be blessed abundantly for the impact you are making within our community.

Congratulations, Jayden. Your actions remind us that leadership is not about position, but about making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Finding a New Way to Play the Game

One year ago, Enrique's life changed in an instant. While the road to recovery has been long and challenging, this story is not about the accident. It is about what came after.

Rugby has always been a huge part of Enrique's life. He lived for the game, and being on the field brought him immense joy. Sadly, due to the injuries he sustained, Enrique will never be able to play sport again.

But true determination finds a way.

Refusing to let go of the sport he loves, Enrique approached the school with a simple but powerful question: "If I can't play, can I coach?"

To make this dream a reality, Enrique took the initiative to complete his BokSmart Level 8 certification in his capacity as a coach. With his qualification in hand and a heart full of enthusiasm, he presented the necessary paperwork and took the next step towards his new goal.

Today, we are incredibly proud to announce that Enrique is officially an Assistant Coach of one of our Primary School rugby teams, working alongside Mr Devenish.

Enrique, your courage, determination, and positive attitude are an inspiration to us all. You have shown that when one chapter closes, another can begin in the most meaningful way. Your willingness to embrace new opportunities and continue contributing to the sport you love speaks volumes about your character.

We are immensely proud of your resilience and your "go-getter" spirit. May you have many memorable moments on the sidelines as you help develop and inspire the next generation of rugby players.

Once a rugby player, always a rugby player, and now, a coach too.
