Celebrating our Grade 11 IGCSE Achievements!

Today, we celebrate our Grade 11 students who have received their IGCSE results. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance and commitment throughout their IGCSE journey.

👏 Congratulations to each of our students on your achievements! Your results reflect the dedication and effort you have invested in your studies.

We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank our dedicated teachers who have guided, supported and prepared our students throughout this journey. Your investment in their lives and learning is deeply valued.

What's on in Durbanville and beyond

Our Pre-Primary School works in themes and recently the theme was PETS, and instead of drawing our favourite animals, we decided to get creative and build them!

Using whatever equipment and materials we could find in our classroom, we used the construction corner to imagine, design and build our very own pets on the carpet. We had so much fun thinking about which animal we wanted to make and which materials would bring our ideas to life.

And the best part? We were learning while having fun!

We also spent time praying for the pets we have at home and talking about how they bring so much joy into our lives. Joy was the character trait we were learning about that week as we discovered more about who God is.

What a wonderful way to learn, create and celebrate the joy God has placed around us!

We had a special morning at our Senior Primary School Assembly as we began our next three-week umbrella focus: Servanthood.

We were delighted to announce our 27 Grade 6 Class Monitors, who have consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, responsibility and conduct throughout the year. Thoughtfully nominated by staff, these students will represent and serve our school in their new leadership roles for the remainder of the year.

Following the announcement, Mr Reed shared a meaningful message on what true leadership entails - reminding us that leadership is not simply about having a position, but about using that position to serve others.

The morning became even more meaningful as parents who were able to attend, together with each class, gathered around their newly appointed monitors to pray over them as they step into this responsibility.

What a beautiful way to begin a new chapter of leadership - not simply by being called to lead, but by being prepared to serve.

We are proud of our Grade 6 students and look forward to seeing the impact they will make through their leadership and service.

What better way to celebrate 40 days left of school than dressing up as a childhood memory, making memories with the next generation of ESCS leaders… and ending the day with PIZZA!

Recently, our Matrics took time to write special letters to our Grade 1s. Today, they finally got to spend time together - chatting, laughing, sharing Smarties, making memories and, most importantly, praying over the next generation of ESCS leaders.

And just think… these Grade 1s will be Matrics in 2037!

Where will they be? What careers will they pursue? What spaces will God place them in? And what impact will they have as they carry the King and His Kingdom into every domain of life? 🌍

And what about our Class of 2026? We can’t wait to see the spaces they will occupy, the lives they will influence and the difference they will make as they step beyond the school gates.

It was more than just 40 days, childhood costumes and pizza. It was a beautiful reminder of legacy, generations, purpose and the privilege of pouring into those who come after us.

Please join us in praying over these precious, purpose-filled lives - from our tiniest leaders to our almost-graduates.

The Fire Brigade is a much-loved theme among our youngest students, and recently they had the opportunity to explore it while learning about the character quality “God Is Our Protector.”

The children learned about the important role firefighters play and the courage they show when responding to emergencies. Through hands-on activities, they built fire engines with blocks, created them with playdough, and completed a cut-and-paste fire engine craft.

They also enjoyed performing a short skit, acting out how a fire engine rushes to the scene of a fire and how firefighters work together to put out the flames and keep everyone safe.

Just as God watches over and protects us, firefighters work tirelessly to protect our homes and communities. Through play, creativity and meaningful learning, our children were reminded of what it means to care for and protect others.
