Equipping leaders to grow, serve, and shine!

We had an incredible time at our recent Grade 11 Leadership Camp! Through a mixuture reflection, collaborative workshops, and plenty of fun, our young leaders took big steps forward in discovering their potential.

Guided by our commitment to servant leadership, camp was full of inspiring moments, new friendships, and valuable takeaways that will shape our next generation of leaders.

A massive thank you to our dedicated teachers, and energetic participants who made this camp so memorable. We can’t wait to see how these newly honed skills inspire positive change in the days ahead!

An evening to remember.

Our Matrics stepped onto the red carpet at Durbanville Hills for a truly memorable evening of elegance and celebration. Dressed to impress, they arrived in stunning gowns and sharp suits, greeted by an enthusiastic crowd before heading inside to begin the festivities.

This year’s Venetian Masked Ball brought our European Cities theme to a spectacular close, with rich reds, golds and exquisite décor transforming the venue into an elegant celebration of our Matric Class of 2026.

From the traditional sunset group photograph to the beautifully styled tables, photobooth, dinner and dancing, every detail made the evening special - and the Matrics danced the night away in celebration of all they have shared together.

We are deeply grateful to our Grade 11s for the months of thoughtful planning, and to the many ESCS parents who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the evening possible. A very special thank you to Kathy Frances for coordinating this wonderful occasion.

A final thank you. A final bell. A final moment together.

Our annual Matric Valedictory Assembly is a beautiful and emotional tradition as our Class of 2026 formally bid farewell to their school through heartfelt speeches, memories, gratitude and roses presented to their mothers as a symbolic thank you.

This year’s London-themed ceremony brought together elegant décor, a special blessing song from the Grade 11s, a London High Tea, the Headmaster’s address and the presentation of the All-Rounder Award and Dux Trophy.

A particularly meaningful moment came as the Matrics laid their own stones at the Heritage Cairn - a reminder that “Until now, God has been my help.” They then ran through a tunnel of fellow students to meet their families, marking the end of an unforgettable chapter.

Class of 2026, what a privilege it has been to watch you grow, lead, serve and become the young men and women you are today. As you leave these gates, carry your foundations with you, continue to make space for others, and above all, lead with love.

Just before the end of term 3, ESCS had the privilege of hosting our annual Sport & Culture Prestigious Awards Evening, where we gathered to acknowledge and honour our students for their outstanding achievements throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, commitment and sacrifices our students have made - both on the sports field and on stage, behind the scenes and in the spotlight. Their achievements are a reflection of the perseverance, passion and courage they have shown in pursuing their gifts and talents.

Beyond the awards and accolades, these students are leaving something even greater behind - a legacy.

A legacy of culture, excellence, perseverance and pride that will inspire the next generation of ESCS students to follow in their footsteps, dream bigger, and strive to go further than they ever thought is possible.

To every student who was celebrated - we are proud of you! May you continue to use your God-given gifts, embrace every opportunity, and remember that there is always more within you than you realise.

Remembering Harold Mbanjana

It is with sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Mninawe (Harold) Mbanjana, who faithfully served the El Shaddai Christian School community, first as a casual staff member and later as a full-time staff member from 2008.

For more than 19 years, Harold was a familiar and much-loved presence at our school. He will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking and friendly gentleman who could always be counted on.

Nothing was ever too much for Harold. If a job needed doing, you could trust him to see it through. He would willingly take on whatever was needed, stay until the work was finished, and always take pride in doing it properly.

His quiet faithfulness, willingness to help, and warm nature touched the lives of many in our school community. His presence will be deeply missed by colleagues, students and families alike.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Harold’s wife, Rose, and their two daughters, as well as to all his family and loved ones. We pray that they would know the comfort, peace and strength of the Lord in this time of loss.

Thank you, Harold, for 19+ years of faithful service to our school. Your contribution mattered, your kindness was appreciated, and you will not be forgotten.

Rest well, Harold.
