Grosvenor Boys High School - Official We thrive for academic excellence! It provides a good holistic education for boys primarily from the greater Bluff area, but also to boys beyond.

Grosvenor Boys’ High School was established in 1962, after the then Grosvenor High School became too small for the growing number of students on the Bluff. The boys took up their desks and chairs – literally – and walked down the dusty path that is now Tara Road to their new school. Since then the school developed quickly in buildings, grounds and facilities, and is now well-established in spaciou

s grounds very suited to sport, with the Bluff National Country Club on two of its boundaries. Academic education covers a wide range of senior school subjects across the humanities, sciences, business and technical fields. Many boys have left Grosvenor to establish themselves as highly successful, in South Africa and beyond. And this continues today. In keeping with its past standards and values, Grosvenor Boys’ aims to prepare its students for life. High academic standards prevail, and a healthy extra-curricular programme offers a wide range of activities for boys to explore. In sport, boys are offered cricket, rugby and soccer as the main sports, supported by swimming, hockey, softball, water polo, tennis, body boarding, cross-country, athletics, basketball and golf. Cultural activities include chess, public speaking, academic competitions, SCA and drama. It is in the field of drama that the school has over the years presented numerous top-class productions, especially musicals. Productions alternate between Grosvenor Boys’ and its sister school, Grosvenor Girls’, encouraging healthy co-operation across the sexes. We have been pioneers in a range of areas, such as introducing the concept of external leadership courses on school grounds, and now have an excellent private gym on our premises offering very affordable training to our boys and the Bluff community. All Grade 8’s start the International Computer Drivers’ License, which opens many doors beyond school to those who show the persistence needed to succeed.

Minimum Requirements:
✔️ SACE Registered
✔️ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
✔️ Major in Computer Application Technology (CAT) and Mathematical Literacy

Key Responsibilities:
📚 Teach CAT, Computer Literacy and Mathematical Literacy
📝 Record and conduct learner assessments
⚽ Participate in school activities, sports events, extra lessons and other school functions
✨ Bring energy, commitment and enthusiasm to our school community

Once again, the Boys prevailed — this time against Merebank Secondary with a 6 – 4 win! 🎉🔥

Our rank 1 and 2 boards, Rahul and Onamandla, were outstanding 💪🙌.

But beyond the scoreboard, the highlight is that we’ve gained a friend in Merebank Secondary — proof that chess builds bonds as well as battles.

Good Day. This is just an update regarding the boy who was involved in the hit and run outside our school yesterday. The boy is in a stable condition in hospital and all his family is asking is for our community to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We as a school are asking that the rumours please stop, please contact us for updates regarding the child's condition
