💚💛 WITTEKLIP SECONDARY SCHOOL | TERM 3 HIGHLIGHTS 💛💚

Term 3 has certainly been a busy and eventful one at Witteklip Secondary School!💚

As we find ourselves well into the term, we’re taking a moment to look back and share some of the wonderful events, achievements and acts of generosity that have filled our school calendar over the past few weeks. From celebrating academic excellence and serving our community to sporting achievements and important milestones for our matriculants, there has certainly been plenty happening at Witteklip! 🌟

🏆 CELEBRATING OUR TERM 2 ACHIEVERS
Early in the term, we proudly celebrated the hard work and dedication of our learners at our Term 2 Achiever Awards. Congratulations to every learner who was recognised for their academic achievements. We are incredibly proud of you and encourage you to continue striving for excellence. 📚✨

📄 A GENEROUS CONTRIBUTION FROM A FORMER PRINCIPAL
At the beginning of the term, we were fortunate to receive a generous sponsorship of boxes of printing paper, facilitated by our former Principal, Mr G. R. Naidu. This valuable contribution has assisted the school with its printing needs, and we extend our sincere appreciation to Mr Naidu for continuing to support the Witteklip family. 💚

🩸 SERVING OUR COMMUNITY
During the July holidays, two of our learners, Mfundo Ngcobo and Zeno Nsingo, partnered with the Chatsworth Rotary Club in support of a blood drive. We are extremely proud to see our learners giving their time to an initiative that serves the wider community. Well done, gentlemen, for representing Witteklip with pride! ❤️

🌭🥤 NATURESKRANTZ COMMUNITY OUTREACH VISITS WITTEKLIP
Approximately two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming NaturesKrantz Community Outreach to our school. Through their generosity, our learners were treated to hot dogs and cold drinks for lunch.

We sincerely appreciate this thoughtful gesture and thank them for reaching out to our learners and bringing a little extra joy to their school day. Acts of kindness such as these remind us of the importance of community and caring for one another. ❤️

🧹 SUPPORTING OUR HARDWORKING CLEANING STAFF
During this past week, our cleaning staff received a generous sponsorship from Judah Jonah, consisting of complete workwear sets including boots, jackets, pants and T-shirts.

Our cleaning staff play an important role in keeping our school environment clean and welcoming, and we sincerely appreciate this wonderful contribution towards members of our Witteklip family. 🙏💚

📝 OUR MATRIC CLASS OF 2026
On 27 August 2026, our Grade 12 learners officially began their Trial Examinations, marking another important milestone in their matric journey.

On 1 September 2026, they will also write their final Life Orientation paper. We wish every one of our matriculants strength, focus, perseverance and success as they continue through this important examination period. Class of 2026, we are behind you all the way! 🎓📚💚

⚽🏆 CADSSA TOURNAMENT SUCCESS!
Today, 29 August, gave us even more reason to celebrate!

The Chatsworth U15 team emerged as CADSSA Tournament champions! 🏆 We are especially proud of our very own **Witteklip learner, Haniff Shange**, who was named Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament after scoring an outstanding FOUR goals!** ⚽⚽⚽⚽👏

Our U17 soccer team also represented us proudly, finishing second in the tournament 🥈

Today, Witteklip Secondary School proudly hosted the CADSA Games against Meadowlands Secondary School — and what an unforgettable day it was! 🏆⚽🏐

Our learners showed incredible passion, teamwork, discipline, and school spirit across all sporting codes.

🏐 Volleyball was a huge success, with both our boys’ and girls’ teams bringing home victories!
⚽ Soccer ended in an exciting draw after a hard-fought match.
🏐 Although we unfortunately lost the netball match, our girls played with determination and heart until the very end.

For many years, sport has always been an important part of the culture and spirit of Witteklip Secondary School, and seeing our children back on the field and courts again brought pride, excitement, and unity to our school community. This is more than just competition — it is about growth, opportunity, teamwork, and rebuilding a strong sporting tradition for our learners. ❤️

A huge thank you to all the players, educators, supporters, and everyone who made today possible. We are proud of every learner who represented the school with dignity and commitment.

Here’s to many more sporting moments ahead! 💪🎉
