🌍 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026 | Conserving Water for People and Planet 💧

Freshwater ecosystems are among the most threatened on Earth. Increasing water demand, pollution, and climate change are placing unprecedented pressure on our rivers, wetlands, and groundwater resources. In South Africa, these challenges are expected to intensify, making water conservation more important than ever.

Water conservation is not only about ensuring a reliable water supply for communities, it is also about protecting the natural ecosystems that sustain life. Healthy rivers and wetlands support biodiversity, improve water quality, reduce flood risks, and help communities adapt to a changing climate.

By using water responsibly, we can:

Through our water conservation initiatives, People Planet has helped save more than 50 million litres of drinking water, reducing pressure on scarce water resources while creating more sustainable schools and communities.

Our learners had a wonderful time as PinPop visited our school, engaging with them through fun activities and spreading smiles all around. 🍭✨ The learners were thrilled to receive delicious lollipops and enjoyed the special treats.

The celebrations became even more meaningful as we also commemorated Africa Day, embracing the rich cultures, heritage, and unity that make our continent so special. ❤️💛💚

Congratulations to our newly appointed prefects. We are proud to present a group of dedicated, responsible, and hardworking learners who will lead by example and serve our school with pride. Leading by example at such a young age will endeavour great responsibility in the future.
