Exam Writing Techniques...

📚Read through the entire question paper before you start... You can always answer questions in any order you desire but number accordingly. Always answer questions that you are most confident in first. However, you must answer an entire question in the same section, don't answer parts of a question in different places in your answer book. If you are unsure of a certain part of the question, leave it out and come back to it.

📚 If you leave out part of a question, make sure you leave enough space to answer it. Always leave at least half a page open if the question is worth more than two marks. If you are not sure how much space will be needed, be safe and leave a full blank page.

📚Mark questions that have been left out on the question paper, so that you remember to come back to them.

📚 Neatness is next to Godliness. Keep your solutions neat and legible during an exam may result in up to 5% increase in your results compared to an untidy and illegible answer book. Neat workings also assist you, as it is easier to check answers and find mistakes. Start a new question on a new page.

📚Do no attempt to save space in your exams! Cramped work is messy and difficult to mark but you surely can leave out two lines after each answer.

📚Never scratch out errors. Underline them neatly and cross out answers only when you have written a new replacement.

📚Do not use any type of correction fluid in an exam.

📚 Finally, Relax, Breath & Pray!!! 🫠🥹✨🫶🏻🙏🏻 Be positive and don't panic at any stage of the exam

📚 Practice, Past Exam Papers. This is the most helpful and practical form of revision. Past papers expose you to the required level of work, exam format and the necessary time limitations imposed on you.

📚 Make sure to start studying early. Start your past paper exams, months before your exams to better understand a number of questions and how to tackle them... Check your answers after you have completed the whole question paper. It is important to revise each section before starting past papers.

📚In order to achieve the correct pase, time yourself on each question and section. During your study sessions, divide your total question answers in half and time yourself to finish that entire question on the first half...
This will ensure that you finish your question paper before times up and have enough time to revisit the entire answer sheet to double check your questions and answers.

📚 Up to 80% of learning should be and can be achievable in class. Try and sit as close as possible to the front of the classroom where you can see and hear properly...

📚 Concentrate and avoid the temptation to talk to your friends. Missing an explanation could result in a misunderstanding of an entire section.

📚Do not be shy!!! If you don't understand an explanation!!! Ask again and again. Simply put your hand up and ask for the teacher to repeat the explanation again. There is no shame in asking and getting clarity...
