Today, Glenashley Preparatory School is proudly supporting National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities Casual Day 2026! 🎶

This year’s theme, “Beat As One, Rhythm Matters,” reminds us that we all have a part to play in creating a more inclusive South Africa. Like the heartbeat of a community, every rhythm matters when we move together towards greater acceptance, inclusion and opportunity for persons with disabilities.

🧡 Burnt orange, the signature colour for 2026, represents warmth, creativity, transformation and connection — perfectly capturing the spirit of this important campaign.

A heartfelt thank you to our learners, parents and staff for getting involved and supporting this meaningful day. Your participation helps make a difference and shows that at Glenashley Prep, we truly believe in moving forward together.

Fresh from their victory in the Mandela Day Coding Tournament, held on 30 July, our Grade 7 Coding Team participated in the Tangible Games Coding 4 Africa KZN Provincial Championships on 26 August. 300 learners from across KwaZulu-Natal converged at Livingstone Primary School in Durban for the 5th KZN Tangible Championship. With 60 teams from Grade 3 to Grade 11, schools travelled from Kokstad in the south, Hluhluwe in the north, and as far inland as Estcourt. We are so proud to announce that our team of champs placed 3rd overall in the Provincial Championships. Our congratulations go to our Grade 7 Team, Vedavin Reddy, Uvaar Maharaj, Aliya Dwarika, Alcee Moothusamy and Ethan Sivsaran. In addition, special mention and acknowledgement must go to our IT Specialist Educator, Mrs D Naicker. Thank you for the hours of hard work and preparation, which has resulted in such growth and development of our learners, and put our amazing school in the spotlight in such a wonderful way! Well done Team Glenashley Prep!

With a refreshing breeze blowing, glorious sunshine and lots of excitement, Glenashley Preparatory School's Annual Interhouse Sports Day was destined to be amazing! It was very special to see the excellent turn-out of parents and families who joined us, with many of you in your child's house colours - thank you!
To our Glenashley Parents Association, to Mr Nazeer Jaffar and our Sports Department, and to our learners, we thank you for your hard work and dedication in making Sports Day 2026 such a success. To our parents and vendors, The Lunch Box and Freddo Italian Ice Cream Durban, our thanks for adding such value to such an enjoyable day.

Special thanks and acknowledgement go to Glenashley Junior Primary School Grade 3 athletes and staff who joined us for part of the morning, its always such a pleasure to welcome the younger members of the Glenashley Preparatory School family on campus.
