The purpose of this group is to keep you updated and informed with the latest news and views in Astronomy. We have opened up the facility to allow members to post and comment with their contribution. This will be reviewed before it is posted to the group. Any member of the group may post Astronomy and related content. Members of the group are not obligated, or required to post content to the group. Content posted should contain reference links whenever possible to the source of the information. Members can also submit their own Astrophotography images if they choose to. When posting Astro images, please provide us with as much information as possible as to how the image was captured and processed. We will not accept attacks directed at anyone who may have posted/commented on the group for any reason. No vulgarity, discrimination or intolerance will be allowed. This will result in a permanent ban. All content posted may not be the view of the Astronomical Society of Southern Africa Durban Centre. The Durban chapter is part of the larger body called The Astronomical Society of South Africa (ASSA for short) which is an open community for all astronomers, both amateur and professional alike. You do not need any qualification to join us, just a keen interest in learning about the cosmos and all that is in it!
