Our Grade R’s had tons of fun with spotting their difference to build on their pattern recognition skills, and became more familiar with the keyboard. ⌨️ 🌟

Durban – Ten-year-old Preyaav Kashiv Singh from Brindhaven, Verulam, is making waves for all the right reasons after taking part in the challenging Oceans8 Charity 4 Mile Swim, held at Vetch’s Beach outside the Durban Undersea Club (DUC).

As a learner at Durban North Primary School and a committed swimmer with Current Aquatics Swim Club, Preyaav showed incredible determination as he tackled the demanding open water event.

Over two days, he completed an impressive 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) in the ocean. His effort went beyond the physical challenge—Preyaav successfully raised an outstanding R10 000 in support of charity.
Participants in the Oceans8 mile swim were required to raise funds for 14 invitational charities, benefiting organisations such as:
• PMB Children’s Home
• Umduduzi Hospice Care for Children
• Rise Against Hunger Africa
• Nazareth Care
