What an incredible Career Day 2026 at Eve’s Little Nest Daycare! 🌟
Our little ones had an amazing time exploring their dream careers, and we are so proud of how they showed up dressed as their future selves! Thank you to all our parents for your effort and support — you helped make this day truly special 💛
Career Day is such an important part of Early Childhood Development, as it encourages imagination, confidence, and helps children begin to understand the world around them while dreaming big about their future.
A big THANK YOU to our wonderful public service professionals for taking the time to speak to our children and share their knowledge — your presence made a lasting impact!
We wrapped up the day with a fun-filled foam party, enjoyed lunch together, and captured some beautiful memories 📸
It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments!
NB. No Kids faces are showed on this post.

🌍✨ Human Rights Day at Eve’s Little Nest Daycare ✨🌍
Today our little ones celebrated Human Rights Day by learning about their basic rights — the right to food, shelter, education, healthcare, love, and freedom ❤️
They had so much fun creating their beautiful “Rights Tree” crafts 🌳🎨, showing what each right means to them in a simple and creative way.
We are so proud of our children and how they are learning kindness, respect, and understanding from such a young age 💛

🌈✨ Sensory Play in Action at Eve’s Little Nest Daycare! ✨🌈
At Eve’s Little Nest Daycare, learning is hands-on, fun, and meaningful! Our little learners are exploring letters through sensory play — tracing and recognizing letters in colorful rice trays.
Why is this important for Early Childhood Development (ECD)?
🧠 Sensory play strengthens brain development
✍🏽 Builds fine motor skills needed for writing
🔤 Supports letter recognition and early literacy
👀 Improves focus and concentration
💬 Encourages language development
When children see, touch, and trace letters, they remember them better! This playful approach lays a strong foundation for reading and writing success.
Give your child a nurturing start where learning feels like play 💛

Valentine’s Day at Eve’s Little Nest Daycare was filled with love, laughter, and lots of creativity! Our little ones had so much fun making beautiful Valentine’s cards and decorating delicious cupcakes.
The excitement on their faces as they sprinkled toppings and shared sweet treats with their friends truly made the day special. Activities like these not only create joyful memories but also help develop fine motor skills, creativity, and social interaction.
At Eve’s Little Nest, we understand how important Early Childhood Development (ECD) is in laying the foundation for lifelong learning. During the early years, children develop essential cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills that shape their future growth. Through fun, hands-on activities and a nurturing environment, we encourage confidence, independence, and a love for learning in every child.
We are proud to create meaningful experiences that support both happiness and development in our little learners.

with SidebySide
If your little one has visual or hearing impairments, you can get help for them, mama, by getting them assistive devices like glasses and hearing aids.
Schools also have school-based interventions where such impairments have been identified. It is important that, as parents and caregivers, you sign the consent form to access these interventions.
The South African National Council for the Blind (SANCB) helps with accessing assistive devices. 👓All you need to do is contact them.
📞You can call them using this number: +27 12 452 3811.
🏢You can also visit their offices for assistance at this address: 514 White Street, Bailey’s Muckleneuk, Pretoria.
☎️For more information on assistive devices and how to access them, send them an email here: [email protected] and [email protected] 📧.
For caregivers raising children with visual impairments, this is how you can help your baby:
📚Read aloud to your child. Children love hearing the voices of their parents. 🫂Encourage your child to also use other senses, like touch and hearing, to learn about their environment
🖼️Describe images to them as you are telling stories. This makes storytelling fun and interesting and keeps them engaged.
🫂Be patient with yourself and seek help when you need it!

Today we had so much fun learning about the number 1 and the alphabet A! ✨
Our little ones enjoyed tracing, exploring shapes, and practicing their fine motor skills.
🌱 Early Childhood Development (ECD) activities like tracing help to:
• Strengthen finger and hand muscles ✋
• Improve pencil grip and control ✏️
• Build early literacy and numeracy skills 🔢🔤
• Boost focus, confidence, and coordination 💡
Learning through play makes it even more exciting!
