The purpose of this qualification is aimed at those who wish to become professional communication practitioners and pursue careers in paths such as: Communication Specialist, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Radio & Television broadcasting, Corporate Communications and Business Communications.
I am currently an intercultural communication student at University of Zululand who's looking forward to be a successful independent man in the next coming years.
From the first yeah I've managed to improve in many skills, which are creativity, researcher, communicate freely and I've also improved my presenting skill.
My goal is to become a radio presenter, so I'm gaining the knowledge in the communication field.
I am looking forward to achieve my goal and being a part of the young successful business man in South Africa .
Career Opportunities in Intercultural and Multi-linguistic Communications
Graduates of formal academic degree program in cross-cultural communications often qualify for positions in several diverse careers. Examples of intercultural communications professions include, but are not limited to:
Diplomats
Foreign correspondents
Educators
Foreign relation and service officers
Intercultural and diversity trainers
Travel industry representatives
International corporate representatives
Social and human service providers
International advisors
As an Intrercultural communication student I've achieved several skills and researched about more of other cultures.
Some cultures have a more formal means of communication, whereas other cultures may have a more informal approach. For example, in Japanese culture, there are three levels of politeness depending on the level of respect for the participant of the conversation.
I have developed very well on communicating with other people even from other countries.

Admission requirements.
An NSC with an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in four recognized NSC 20 credit subjects (matric exemption); an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in Life Orientation; and an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in English as First Additional Language (FAL), or 4 (50%) in English as Home Language; Minimum entry points: 26

Structure and duration of the Degree
The programme shall extend over a three (3) year period. The curriculum consists of 24 semester modules as follows:
First year – a minimum of eight semester modules
Second year – a minimum of eight semester modules
Third year – a minimum of eight semester modules

The purpose of this qualification is aimed at those who wish to become professional communication practitioners and pursue careers in paths such as: Communication Specialist, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Radio & Television broadcasting, Corporate Communications, Business Communications and Electronic (digital and Internet) Communication. With this qualification, learners will be equipped to enter the field of communication as professionals. This programme includes specialized work in Social Change and Development Communication, Advanced Public Relations, Journalism and Visual Communication, Digital Communication and New Communication Technologies.
