Ngicela abafundi abadala base BV abafisa ukuxhasa isikole bangithinte. Isisemome ngomcimbi we Anniversary 18-19 July. A donation is born of positive thinking: look at what you can do for BV not at what BV can do for you--- and she has done a lot for many of you already. This Saturday 29 June I need you folks to pay the school a visit at 10 a.m. to see what you can possibly offer the school, not necesarily money. Can be certain service. Register your kid or family member early. Limited space. In 2014 we're introducing Grades 1 and 4. We've downscaled from R120 and now charge only R80 school fees but we're considering proposing Free Education for all our learners in 2015. It is a dream that BV shall achieve, believe me. The Freedom Charter says "The doors of learning and culture shall be opened to all" . Ngibona uMathebula no Nolubabalo behleka bodwa. Sasivukuza yona no Jabu no Angel ngamihla leyo. Kunjalo nje. Asibonane ngoMgqibelo.

Last friday one teacher went out of class minutes before end of the last period. The bell rang. The unattended learners screamed with delight, enough to shake the 4 walls of the classroom. Hheyi mani, was this a school or a jungle? I dashed out to investigate. As i entered the classroom the learners became quiet as a graveyard, the way you used to do. I shook a menacing finger at the learners and summoned them all to their feet. There was tension in their faces. What i told them next made each one grin wide as a sliced watermelon. They nodded happily, pledging to make louder noise the next time a teacher left class before time in order to alert me. See how i love them?

Look here, the little fella Thabang Dladla got several distinctions,ok, (incudingl a 100% pass in Physical Science. If remember well what he told me he obtained 94 if not 96% in the optional Paper 3 (Advanced Mathematics). His only B was in English at 74% one short of distinction. He passed his 2011 Matric exam at Lamontville High. Today no one knows or cares to remembers how thoroughly we groomed him at Bantuvukani Senior PrimarySchool, also in Lamontville. Yes sir, he's our product, although Lamontville High whom we supply some learners to now hold the bragging rights. (Thinking of extending our grades to Grade 12, hum!) We start working on our learners from Grade 5 to Grade 9, which is our final grade.

We always strive to set our outstanding learners more and highly challenging tasks. One day Grade 9 Technology teacher Mr Bongani Xulu, declared to Thabang and Senzo Chonco (who also had his own share of distinctions at Adams College): "My boys, namhlanje ngibophe inja nogodo" loosely translated meaning today I have set a paper so tight you are going to sweat through it . The two boys finished writing, walked up to Mr Xulu, grinned at him and Thabang whispered into Mr Xulu's ear: " Sir you said ubophe inja nogodo, ha,ha,ha! Ubophe inja ne toothpick" (you've tied your dog to a toothpick !). Damnit! The fella yet again got 100%. in Tech.
