What a beautiful sight it was today as the staff and learners of NPS came together in support of our national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, who take to the world stage tonight in the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening match.

It is a tremendous honour and privilege for South Africa to be part of this historic occasion and we are incredibly proud of our boys as they represent our nation in front of millions of supporters around the world.

At NPS, we believe in teaching our learners the importance of loyalty, unity and national pride. Today was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to celebrate our South African heritage and stand together in support of a team that inspires hope and determination.

The sea of green and gold around the school was a reminder that sport has the power to bring people together and create lasting memories. Thank you to all our staff and learners who showed their South African spirit with such enthusiasm and pride.

Good luck, Bafana Bafana! The entire NPS family is behind you as you make history tonight
