LC Johnson Technical College was an apartheid-era Vocational Education and Training Institute for the Coloured people of Durban.

It operated under appalling conditions with limited government funding and few resources. In spite of these very challenging conditions, the team of dedicated lecturers delivered technical training of the highest caliber and produced some of the best results in the country.
