International Ministers University-IMU — OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Equipping Leaders for Effective Ministry

Dear IMU Family, Students, and Friends,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

As we embrace the opportunities and responsibilities that come with the digital age, International Ministers University is pleased to announce the official introduction of our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy, effective 2025.

We recognise that AI is rapidly becoming part of everyday life in education, in ministry, and in the world at large.

Like any powerful tool, it comes with both great opportunities and serious challenges. As a Christ-centred institution, it is our responsibility to ensure that technology is used wisely, ethically, and in a manner that honours God and upholds the integrity of genuine scholarship.

Our AI Policy is built on a simple but powerful foundation: REMAIN ORIGINAL.

We believe that every student, every leader, and every minister must develop their own voice, their own thinking, and their own theological understanding. AI cannot pray for you. AI cannot seek the face of God on your behalf. AI cannot cultivate the discernment, wisdom, and faith that effective ministry requires. As 2 Timothy 2:15 instructs us: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

To our students and leaders; we encourage you with love and great expectation:

Use technology responsibly and transparently. Where AI tools are permitted, disclose their use fully. Let your submitted work always be a true reflection of your own labour, your own faith journey, and your own encounter with the Word of God. Your originality is not just an academic requirement, it is a Kingdom value.

To our postgraduate students at Honours, Masters, and Doctoral level we call you to an even higher standard. The world needs thinkers, theologians, and leaders who have done the hard and holy work of original scholarship. Read our AI Policy carefully, comply fully, and let your research be a genuine contribution to the body of knowledge and to the advancement of God's Kingdom.

At IMU, we do not simply want you to produce a qualification. We want you to BECOME something: a trusted, capable, and Spirit-filled servant of God.

The full AI Use Policy is available through our official channels. We encourage every student, staff member, and partner of IMU to familiarise yourself with it.

We are proud to lead with integrity in an age of rapid change. Together, let us use every resource at our disposal including technology to build leaders who are excellent, authentic, and accountable before God.

God bless you all!

Dr Mesuli Nkomo

Welcome to the New Academic Year

International Ministers University

Dear Esteemed Faculty members, Students, Ministry Leaders, and Valued Partners,
It is with great joy and profound gratitude to Almighty God that I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all of you as we officially commence a new academic year and semester at International Ministers University.

To our returning students, we celebrate your continued commitment to excellence and ministerial development. To our new students, we welcome you into a community dedicated to rigorous academic pursuit and transformative spiritual formation.

The Opening of a New Chapter
Today marks not merely the beginning of another academic cycle, but the continuation of our sacred mandate to equip, empower, and deploy ministers and leaders who will shape the future of the Church and transform nations.

As an institution committed to academic excellence and ministerial integrity, we recognize that the work before us demands nothing less than wholehearted dedication, intellectual rigor, and unwavering commitment to the call of God upon your lives.

Our 2026 Theme: "Cultivating Hearts of Service and Effectiveness"
I am thrilled to announce our institutional theme for 2026: "Cultivating Hearts of Service and Effectiveness." This theme will serve as our guiding compass throughout this academic year, shaping our curriculum emphasis, messages, institutional activities, and personal development initiatives.
True ministerial success is not measured merely by titles, platforms, or recognition, but by the depth of our servant leadership and the effectiveness of our kingdom impact. Jesus Christ, our ultimate model, came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

This year, we are intentionally focusing on developing within each student:
A servant's heart that prioritizes the needs of others above personal ambition
Effective ministry practices rooted in biblical principles and practical wisdom
Sustainable leadership that produces lasting fruit in people's lives
Humble excellence that combines competence with character
Kingdom-minded service that transcends denominational and cultural boundaries
Throughout this year, our academic programs, mentorship initiatives, and institutional activities will be designed to help you not only acquire knowledge but also develop the heart posture and practical skills necessary for effective, servant-oriented ministry. We believe that when servant hearts meet effective methods, transformation occurs, in individuals, communities, and nations.

*A Call to Academic Excellence and Spiritual Discipline*

I wish to impress upon each student, whether new or returning the critical importance of approaching your studies with diligence, consistency, and scholarly excellence. The pursuit of theological and ministerial education is not a passive endeavor; it requires active engagement, critical thinking, disciplined study habits, and a hunger for both knowledge and wisdom. The Kingdom of God deserves leaders who are well-prepared, thoroughly equipped, and academically sound.

Your success in this institution will be directly proportional to the effort, time, and commitment you invest in your academic and spiritual development. I therefore urge you to:
Engage fully with your coursework, lectures, and assignments
Maintain consistent study schedules and meet all academic deadlines
Participate actively in discussions and collaborative learning
Seek clarification whenever concepts are unclear
Balance your ministerial responsibilities with your academic obligations
Cultivate a spirit of excellence in all that you undertake
Remember, you are not merely students acquiring information; you are ministers in training, preparing to impact generations and influence spheres of leadership across the globe.

*Introducing IMU Exchange Programs: A New Frontier*

In alignment with our commitment to holistic development and global kingdom perspective, I am delighted to announce the launch of IMU Exchange Programs for 2026. This innovative initiative represents a significant milestone in our institutional growth and our commitment to fostering cross-cultural competency, collaborative learning, and meaningful fellowship among ministers and leaders worldwide.
The IMU Exchange Programs will create opportunities for:
Student Exchange Initiatives:
Structured programs that enable our students to learn from ministry leaders, educators, and practitioners in different regions and contexts
Exposure to diverse theological perspectives, ministry methodologies, and cultural expressions of faith
Practical ministry experience in varied settings that broaden understanding and increase adaptability
Leadership Exchange Networks:
Collaborative platforms connecting pastors, ministers, and ministry leaders across nations for mutual learning and support
Peer-to-peer mentorship opportunities that transcend geographical boundaries
Shared resources, best practices, and innovative approaches to contemporary ministry challenges
Fellowship and Community Building:
Intentional relationship-building among students and leaders from different backgrounds, denominations, and ministry contexts
Virtual and in-person gatherings that foster unity, encourage collaboration, and strengthen the global body of Christ
Networking opportunities that create lasting partnerships for future ministry endeavors
These exchange programs embody our belief that iron sharpens iron, and that we grow stronger, wiser, and more effective when we learn from one another. Ministry in the 21st century requires leaders who understand diverse contexts, appreciate different perspectives, and can build bridges across cultural and denominational divides. Through these exchanges, you will gain:
Broader perspective on how the Gospel transforms different cultures and contexts
Enhanced cultural intelligence essential for effective global ministry
Deeper relationships with fellow ministers that provide support, accountability, and collaboration
Fresh insights and innovative approaches that can be adapted to your own ministry context
Expanded networks that open doors for future ministry opportunities and partnerships
We encourage every student to actively participate in these exchange opportunities as they become available. Details regarding application processes, participating institutions, and scheduling will be communicated through official channels in the coming months.

*Current Registration and Admissions*

I am pleased to announce that our admissions process remains open, and we continue to welcome qualified applicants into our various programs. We recognize that many called and gifted leaders are still discovering International Ministers University, and we have deliberately extended our registration period to accommodate as many students as possible before our official opening ceremony.
We encourage all current students, pastors, and ministry partners to serve as ambassadors for IMU by identifying, inviting, and recommending other leaders, ministers, and aspiring servants of God who would benefit from our academic programs. Your networks are valuable, and your recommendations carry weight. Let us together expand the reach of quality ministerial education.

*Official Opening Ceremony - January 2026*

We are delighted to inform you that our Official Opening Ceremony will be held via Zoom later this month in January. The specific date, time, and access details will be communicated shortly through official channels. This ceremony will be a significant milestone for our institution and for each of you.
During this official opening, we will:
Formally inaugurate the new academic year with all students present
Launch our 2026 theme "Cultivating Hearts of Service and Effectiveness" with a keynote address exploring its implications for your academic journey and ministerial development
Introduce and present the newly developed IMU Student Policy Document, which outlines the academic standards, behavioral expectations, rights, responsibilities, and institutional procedures that govern student life at our university
Unveil our updated Prospectus, which provides comprehensive information about our programs, faculty, academic structure, institutional vision, and new initiatives including the Exchange Programs
Provide orientation for all new students to ensure smooth integration into university life
Announce details regarding Exchange Program opportunities, eligibility criteria, and application procedures
Set the academic tone for what we anticipate will be a transformative and productive year
Your attendance at this official opening is strongly encouraged, as it will provide essential information and establish the foundation for your academic journey with us.

*Administrative and Academic Operations*

Please be informed that the University office is now fully operational, and all administrative, teaching, and academic support services are actively functioning. Faculty members are available, course materials are being distributed, and
assistance, whether academic, administrative, or technical, please do not hesitate to reach out to the appropriate university.

IMU exists to raise a generation of ministers and leaders who are not only spiritually mature but also intellectually equipped, academically credible, and professionally competent. We are committed to providing education that meets international standards while remaining rooted in biblical truth and apostolic integrity.
As we embark on this academic journey together, I want to remind you that you are part of something greater than yourselves. The investment you make in your education today will yield dividends in the lives you touch, the ministries you build, and the nations you influence tomorrow. Through our theme of service and effectiveness, and through the enriching experiences of our exchange programs, you will be shaped into the kind of leader the Church desperately needs, one who serves with humility and ministers with excellence.

Closing Remarks*
Let me conclude with this charge: Be diligent. Be committed. Be excellent. Approach your studies with the same passion and dedication with which you approach your ministry. Honor God with your academic pursuits, and He will honor you with wisdom, understanding, and ministerial effectiveness.
Embrace the theme of service and effectiveness, let it permeate your character, inform your decisions, and shape your ministry philosophy. Participate enthusiastically in exchange opportunities, recognizing that every encounter is a divine appointment for growth and kingdom advancement.
We believe in your potential, we celebrate your calling, and we are committed to your success. Together, let us make this academic year one of unprecedented growth, achievement, and kingdom impact.
May the Lord grant you wisdom, strength, and grace as you pursue excellence in all things.

Yours faithfully
Dr Mesuli Nkomo

INTERNATIONAL MINISTERS UNIVERSITY

OFFICIAL NOTICE

Dear Faculty and Students of International Ministers University,

Grace and peace to you.

As Chancellor of International Ministers University, I extend my sincere appreciation to our faculty and students for your commitment, discipline, and continued dedication to academic excellence and ministerial formation throughout the year. Your faithfulness to learning, teaching, research, and service reflects the core mandate of our institution.

I would also like to warmly welcome all students who have recently joined International Ministers University. We are honored to have you as part of our academic community. You have joined an institution committed to sound scholarship, character formation, and practical ministry training. We trust that your time with us will be both intellectually enriching and spiritually formative.

At International Ministers University, our guiding motto remains central to all that we do: we equip leaders for effective ministry. This calling demands academic seriousness, personal discipline, and consistent engagement with your studies. As such, I strongly encourage all students to remember that our programs are self-paced, requiring intentional commitment. Those currently engaged in coursework, examinations, research projects, and dissertations are urged to continue working diligently during this holiday period. This is not a season to disengage academically. Meaningful progress is often made when others slow down. Your consistency now will shape your effectiveness in ministry and leadership in the future.

While remaining academically focused, you are also encouraged to enjoy the Christmas season responsibly. Let this time be marked by kindness, humility, and generosity. I urge you to extend a helping hand to those who are less fortunate, demonstrating Christ-centered leadership through practical compassion. Academic excellence and Christian character must always walk together.

As we look ahead, you are also encouraged to recommend International Ministers University to fellow pastors, church leaders, and emerging ministers who may be seeking theological training and leadership development. Your recommendation helps us extend our mission of equipping leaders for effective ministry across communities and nations.

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and prepare to enter a new year, I leave you with this word of encouragement:

«“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”
(Proverbs 16:3)»

May the Lord grant you wisdom, discipline, and strength. May He bless your studies, your research, your ministry, and your families as we move into a new year of growth, excellence, and greater impact.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous, Blessed New Year.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Mesuli Nkomo
