Leona is a lady of many talents! She’s a highly successful attorney and a celebrated dancer. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bharatha Natyam graduate, she founded the Leona Dean Dance Academy – one of SA’s largest institutes for Modern Indian dance – and she has performed at prestigious events like SAIFTA. Her contributions to Indian dance and community work have earned her several awards along the way.

You were nothing short of brilliant!!!! A huge thank you to my dear Eubulus Tracy-Venter, for coming all the way from Capetown and giving us such an outstanding performance! Thank you to Ashlen Govender for making a special appearance and gracing our stage with his beautiful voice! To my dancers, it was an honour to share the stage with such great talents. A true beauty in every sense of the word, Riona set her heart on dancing 19 years ago and has emerged has one of the most formidable dancers at the academy and radiates with grace and elegance whenever she performs!
She is a lady many talents and an amazing and selfless soul who has a genuine and heartfelt passion for others.
Riona is currently completing her bachelor of commerce degree in Accounting and is a talented makeup artist for a renowned brand called Beauty in a Box Makeup.

Mageshni is a dancer, model, actress, and a an upcoming business entrepreneur. She earned her Bachelor of Education Degree along with a Higher Certificate in Event Management. She currently works as a personal assistant while running her own business.
She has 20 years of modern Indian dance experience, 10 of which has been under Leona Dean Dance Academy. Her passion and dedication has made her one of the top leading dancers in the academy and she continues to set the stage alight with her stunning performances! Mageshni performed at the IMTA convention in New York this year and received international callbacks.
Be sure to look out for this mesmerizing beauty performance alongside her team of amazing dancers and seasoned actress Jailoshini Naidoo and in the upcoming dance and comedy show "Rolling with Rumba" on the 16th of December.

Samiksha's passion for dance brought her to our dance academy where she began her dance journey and has been an integral part of the dance Academy for the past 12 years.

Today, Samiksha Telukdarrie is a dynamic and talented lead dancer, bringing her unique style and enthralling moves to the stage with every performance!
With her brilliant mind and dedication, Samiksha is currently a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa. She holds a BSc. Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working towards her Pr Eng.

Whether it’s his captivating performances, his exceptional dancing skills or his striking good looks, BRANDON ROHAN continues to captivates audiences and has become a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment world!

Brandon has a Bachelor of Education from UKZN and is a Department Head at a High School on the Upper South Coast. He also serves on the Umlazi South Executive Committee for the National Professional Teacher's Organisation of South Africa (Naptosa). He is career driven and passionate about working with his learners both in the classroom and on stage. When not at work, he enjoys modern Indian dance with the Leona Dean Dance Academy and voluntary work for many organisations serving children and the elderly. Rohan recently performed as a lead dancer in Taare's latest hit production entitled 'Anjali in Wonderland'.

Brandon is all set to blow you away with his dancing skills in the upcoming dance and comedy show "Rolling with Rumba" on the 16th of December.

Her grace and beauty captivates audiences – from wedding celebrations to dance shows, Neha Mungal mesmerizes audiences wherever she performs! A Dancer, Lecturer and an Examiner at Regent Business School, Neha is the real definition of beauty and brains. There are no words that can describe her dedication to her craft, passion and brilliance! Neha has completed 18 years of dance under the guidance of Leona Dean and is now considered one of the top dancers un our midst.

Sivashni, is truly an inspiring dancer who mesmerizes audiences with her grace, beauty, passion and humility. Not only is she a seasoned performer, she also teaches at the Leona Dean Dance Academy. Her dedication, passion and commitment to nurturing young minds has helped produce some great dancers over the years! We celebrate Sivashni not only for imparting knowledge but for sharing love, offering encouragement and for sparking inspiration🙏

Whilst dance is her passion, she holds a bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics and honors degree in Business Finance from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Sivashni currently works in the finance department for Sappi Southern Africa.
She can seen together with a host of other talented artists next in "Rolling with Rumba" at The Globe on the 16th of December.

Celebrating with Leona Dean!

Raveshin has enthralled audiences with his dynamic dance moves alongside myself and my team of dancers throughout South Africa, and is well-known for his onstage and on-screen romantic persona which is complimented by his dashingly good looks 😉

But he is more than just a ; with a Honours Degree in Marketing already to his name, Raveshin is at the tail-end of study towards a second Bachelors Degree; and by day manages one of Durbans most busiest and well-established shopping centres for a prominent listed fund.
