# GetInvolved is an innovative, informative and inspirational organisation aimed at making environmental science fun and accessible to learners at a tender age. South Africa is at the bottom of of the international science and maths ranking. is asking, if this really is true and if so, let us, South Africans, reach out to schools and do something about it, because, We CAN. It is true

, however, that most schools in South Africa simply do not have sufficient resources to teach maths and science. Furthermore, mitigation measures currently in place, often exclude rural and semi-rural schools due to geographical and spatial challenges.
involved aims firstly to reach and incorporate all schools within the country and to demonstrate practical, effective and diverse means and methods of scientific learning in schools. We don't only make the learners aware of the potential future impact they could have in the country, should they choose to continue with scientific studies through tertiary level, but we also try and meet their mediate needs through scientific concepts and principles. For instance, water is a scarce resource in South Africa, we therefore, introduce hydrology to the learners and work with them in applying the very basic hydrological principles. Food is also scares, so we introduce innovative and effective means of gardening which will not only save water but insure maximum produce. We also have Zoological, biochemical, chemical and physics related concepts that we introduce to learners while they are still in school and we do practicals, in each of these fields, with them. We believe that the diversity of our country is our strength and the glue that holds us together. Involved says, you and I can help educate and equip our learners for the better and brighter future of South Africa.
