Schools Democracy Week is a significant annual event, typically held in April to coincide with Freedom Day (27 April) and Freedom Month.🇿🇦
The initiative, led by the Electoral Commission of South Africa and the Department of Basic Education, aims to educate learners on democratic values, electoral processes, and civic responsibility.

During this week, learners participated in a variety of activities that promoted an understanding of democracy, encouraged active citizenship, and highlighted the importance of participation in a democratic society.🇿🇦
