Throwback to DFM 2025
Listen to Paul Garnes challenge the myth of being “the one” - and make the case for collective success.

In “Talking Cents: A New Black Film Ecosystem”, Paul reflected on the industry’s tendency to celebrate a single success story while encouraging everyone else to compete for the same limited opportunity. He argued that true progress requires abandoning the “one in a million” mindset and building ecosystems where many creators can thrive, rather than rewarding only a select few.
