We believe that supporting young children begins with supporting the educators who care for, teach, and nurture them each day.

Our Little Lights Lead, Amy Naidoo, is passionate about building meaningful relationships within the ECD community, listening to the experiences of educators, and finding ways for Little Lights to better serve schools, teachers, and families.

As part of this commitment, Amy recently attended an early childhood development event to connect with fellow educators and gain insight into the joys and challenges of nurturing young learners.

Through opportunities like these, Amy continues to help Little Lights grow its understanding of the ECD landscape, strengthen connections with educators, and support the important work of shaping young hearts and minds.

The Educational Leadership Summit planning is well underway. 🙌

Our team recently headed to Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg for a site visit as preparations continue for this year's event. It was an opportunity to walk through the spaces, fine tune the details, and ensure everything is in place for a valuable experience for the Christian educators who will be joining us.

We are looking forward to gathering together in the mountains from 4 to 7 August. We can’t wait to share this time with you!

What a special privilege to celebrate 100 years of God’s goodness and faithfulness in the life of Mrs. Smook, co founder of Shanan Christian School. What a remarkable milestone.

Mrs. Smook’s life is a beautiful testimony of steadfast faith, joyful service, perseverance, and deep love for God and people. Her impact through Christian education and the many lives she has touched over the years continue to leave a lasting legacy.

Reflecting on her journey of faith, Mrs. Smook said, “Jesus has been the Lord of my life since I made the decision to serve Him with gladness.”

As loved ones and members of the Shanan Christian School community gathered to honour this special occasion, we celebrated not only 100 years of life, but a life richly lived for the glory of God.
