We are starting the 2026 school year by giving back.

Through Al Ansaar Outreach and School Matters with Sumaya Khan, this school shoes Initiative we are inviting government school educators, principals, and SGB members to nominate learners who truly deserve a new pair of school shoes for 2026.

For many children, school shoes are more than just part of a uniform they are dignity, confidence, and a fair start to the year. This initiative aims to support deserving learners in KZN by ensuring they walk into their classrooms prepared, confident, and cared for.

No child should have to begin the school year without the basics. Together, we can make sure every step they take is one filled with hope and possibility.

As we approach the blessed month of Ramadan 1447, Al Ansaar Outreach, together with The Community Buzz and Urban Women with Razia Rangrage, launches our Eid Clothes Initiative.

For many children, Eid comes quietly without new clothes, without that spark of joy. This initiative is about changing that. For R1000 per child, you help provide Eid clothing to less fortunate children, restoring dignity, confidence, and the simple happiness every child deserves on Eid morning.

Ramadan is the month of mercy, generosity, and action. This is a chance to turn compassion into something tangible a smile, a memory, a moment of belonging.

The Al-Ansaar Outreach team once again had the honour of joining hands with Gift of the Givers for our monthly Hamper Distribution Drive. Together, we continue to reach out to families in need, offering not only essential food items but also hope, care, and dignity.

This past Sunday, the Al Ansaar Foundation proudly conducted its annual Ashura Feeding in honour of the blessed day of Ashura a day of reflection, gratitude, and giving.

In the spirit of compassion and unity, the Al Ansaar team distributed nourishing meals to the local community, bringing people together through kindness and heartfelt service. It was a day marked by sincerity, remembrance, and reaching out to those in need.
