Free play is an important part of early childhood development, providing opportunities for children to build, create, imagine, and discover. As our Edu-Care to Grade RR students dug, scooped, poured, and constructed in the sand, they were developing essential skills through hands-on sensory experiences.
Through sandpit play, our students:
π Strengthen their creativity and imagination
ποΈ Explore construction and problem-solving skills
ποΈ Engage their senses through touch and texture
π€ Develop social skills through sharing and teamwork
Learning doesn't only happen in the classroomβit happens through play, exploration, and discovery too!

Happy World Bee Day π π π―
Today our students were treated to a lovely and informative presentation about the importance of bees and the roles they play in our environment.
On top of this information, our students got the full experience exploring a beekeepers box and smoker, look at different stages of the honeycomb, as well as taste some honey.
A special thank you to Mrs Vermeulen for creating a memorable learning experience for our students.
