It's great to see staff being recognised for their exceptional work at the Faculty of Applied Sciences' 7th State of the Faculty Address, which was hosted at the Hilton Hotel. Congratulations to all the winners, continue to fly the FAS flag high.

The Department of Statistics hosted postgraduate students and staff from the Faculty of Applied Sciences in a week-long Introduction to Biostatistics short course. The goal of this short course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of statistical analyses and equip participants with practical skills in Biostatistics. Thank you to all participants for their active engagement.

Congratulations to our departmental secretary for successfully completing the Office Professionals short learning programme at the DUT Business School, which she enrolled last year.

The Department of Statistics, Faculty of Applied Sciences, held another successful Biostatistics Short Course which ran from 10-14 June 2024. The aim of the course was to enhance statistical and methodological skills for research.
