Sharing preliminary insights from an Industrial Engineering alumni survey at the Durban University of Technology (DUT). These visuals reflect self-reported responses from alumni across multiple graduation eras, illustrating qualification pathways, employment relevance, and the diverse industries in which graduates are active. While the findings are preliminary and will be refined through deeper analysis, they already highlight the continued relevance of both legacy and restructured Industrial Engineering qualifications, as well as strong alignment between academic preparation and workplace roles. Alumni feedback plays an important role in shaping curriculum development, graduate support, and future engagement initiatives, and we thank all respondents who contributed to this ongoing process.

Thank you to Fanie Ndlovu who came and gave a very exciting lecture on AI and Robotics and how it impacts on the future of smart warehousing and smart manufacturing

Thank you to Kirin Naicken who gave an interesting presentation. On Toyota Production Systems, and emphasizing once again the importance of respecting each other in the workplace and reminding students of the importance to strive for continuous process improvement and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
