As the season changes and the days become warmer and wetter, what better time to sink little hands in the dirt and create gardens! This week our groups began preparing the soil for 3 different garden spaces. They created their own compost bottles too. Having a clear purpose motivated them in their labour intensive tasks. We can’t wait to share the end results!

|PRE-TEEN OVERNIGHT HIKE|

Ages: 9 - 12years
We are putting feelers out to see if you'd like us to host an overnight hike for pre-teens in the September/October holidays.

Approx cost: R1500per child
Includes: Park fees, gear (backpacks, sleeping bags, cooking supplies, tents, sleeping mattresses), transport, Kinship facilitator and qualified mountain guide

When the weather gets tough… we get creative! With the rain and cold temperatures this last week we moved indoors. Our navigation session turned from following a map to creating one! Creativity blossomed throughout our groups with loo roll trees and tea-bag painted islands. We practiced our fine-motor skills, drawing, syringing, cutting and sticking. We delighted in different textures too.
