🌟 UMBELEBELE HIGH SCHOOL AT THE LSA WORKSHOP🌟

Umbelebele High School was honoured to be among the schools selected to attend the Learner Support Agent (LSA) Workshop, hosted by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education – Special Needs Education Services (SNES) on 18–19 August 2026 at ONOMO Hotel, Durban.

It was a highly informative and enriching workshop, with valuable learning on learner support, child protection, learner pregnancy, substance abuse, bullying, SBSTs, the SIAS Protocol and the CSTL Framework. Our educators gained practical knowledge and strategies to better support our learners.

We sincerely thank the KZN Department of Education and SNES for this valuable opportunity and ONOMO Hotel for the wonderful hospitality and stay.

Together, we continue learning, growing and creating a supportive environment where every learner can thrive.📚

Kube usuku lwenjabulo esikoleni Umbelebele Secondary School eMlazi kwaQ izolo ekuseni ngesikhathi kudluliselwa isheke lemali engango R10,000 oluvela enkampanini i-Allied Global Marketing (AGM).

Lo mnikelo kulindeleke ukuthi usetshenziselwe ukuthenga izicathulo nenyumfomu yesikole ezohlomulisa abafundi abazidingayo ikakhulukazi labo abavela emindenini eswele.

Uthishanhloko wesikole, uMnu Sandile Khanyile, uveze injabulo enkulu ngalolu xhaso, wabonga abakwa-AGM ngokukhetha Umbelebele njengesikole esizohlomula kulo mnikelo.

Okhulumela i-AGM, uMnu Bongani Mkhize, uthe inhloso yalokhu ukuthi kusizakale abafundi ukuthi bathenge izicathulo. Uqhube wathi kuyabajabulisa ukufaka isandla kwabadingayo.

“Ukuthengela kwethu abafundi izicathulo kusiza isikole ekutheni umfundi ula ukwi-full uniform; siphinde at the same time sisize umzali emumva ukuthi ngoba bebeswele nje ukuthi bathengele ingane izicathulo…useyasizakala umzali ukuthi akwazi ukuthi ingane yakhe isinezicathulo,” usho kanje.

🎓🌟 CELEBRATING OUR ALUMNI! 🌟🎓

Umbelebele High School proudly celebrates one of our own, Mthokozisi Sibiya, who matriculated from our school in 2021 and has now successfully completed a Degree in Human Settlement and Housing at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). 🎓🏆

Mthokozisi’s journey is a true story of resilience, determination and perseverance. From the classrooms of Umbelebele to the halls of university, he has shown that with hard work, commitment and faith in oneself, great things are possible! 💙
