As we turn the page from a memorable Africa Month and Child Protection Week, we step into June with purpose, determination, and hope.

This month marks the beginning of the June Examination Season for our Grade 10–12 learners. May the resilient spirit of the youth of 1976 inspire our learners to persevere, remain disciplined, and strive for excellence in all they do.

We encourage every learner to prepare diligently, believe in their abilities, and approach each examination with confidence. Success is earned through hard work, commitment, and consistency.

🌍✨ AFRICA DAY 2026 CELEBRATION ✨🌍

Today, Umbelebele High School came alive with the vibrant sounds, colours, rhythms and stories of Africa! Our talented learners proudly showcased the beauty and diversity of our continent through song, theatre performances, poetry and traditional dance.

Dressed in stunning traditional attire representing different cultures and traditions, our learners painted a beautiful picture of Africa from the horn to the tip. Every performance reminded us that our diversity is our strength and that our heritage is something to celebrate with pride.

As we commemorate Africa Day, let us continue to embrace the spirit of Ubuntu β€” loving, respecting and uplifting one another. Together, we honour our past, celebrate our present and build a brighter future for generations to come.

Today, on Africa Day 2026, the Principal’s Desk proudly joins the continent in celebrating the beauty, strength, diversity and unity of Africa.

Our Principal, Mr S. Khanyile, extends heartfelt wishes to the entire Umbelebele High School community β€” learners, parents, staff and stakeholders β€” for a blessed and meaningful Africa Day. 🌍✨

As Africans, we carry a rich heritage of resilience, wisdom, culture and hope. Africa Day reminds us to honour our roots, embrace our identity, and work together towards a future filled with opportunity, unity and progress.

Yesterday’s Special Assembly was powerful and emotional. Ex-convicts shared real stories about crime, drugs & prison life, while Pastor Sazi Mbatha encouraged learners to choose a better future. β€œOnendlebe uzwile.” πŸ‘‚πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ
