Outdoor activities such as hula hoops, weaving through cones, jumping in and out of hoops, going over the walking stick, under the jump rope, and sitting in the hula hoop circle offer great developmental benefits for Grade R learners.

These activities strengthen gross motor skills, balance, and coordination while improving flexibility and body control.

They also enhance concentration, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills as children follow instructions and navigate through different movements. In addition, outdoor play promotes teamwork, confidence, and emotional well-being while allowing children to express creativity and imagination through fun, active learning experiences.
