Many people believe that school is the primary way in which children learn. While they are correct to some extent, children also learn through experience, culture and religion.

There are many parents who do not realise how their own beliefs and personal perceptions(whether negative or positive ) in life have hampered their childs growth or spurred it on. For example, When parents behave in a racist manner their children learn these ways which eventually creates a racist individual. Another example, parents may promote helping the less fortunate through charity. In this way they are contributing positively into the lives of their kids. You are your child's greatest teacher. Learning forms a sphere, starting at home, filtering out into other structures and institutions. As parents, its your everyday actions that will help shape your child.

Remember, watching movies with bloody murders, foul language and s*x will contribute to some decisions that they may make in the future. Monitoring your childs social media will indicate who their friends are, what those friends values are and is it building up your child or contributing to slowly breaking them down.

Finally, whatever your religious beliefs are, try to promote the values that your religion offers. In this way children find purpose in life and it can help drive them forward.
