LOTUSVILLE PRIMARY ENTERED THE AVBOB ROAD TO LITERACY CAMPAIGN- TROLLEY LIBRARY BENEFICIARY COMPETITION
Lotusville Primary School currently operates without a functional library. This situation is particularly challenging given the prevailing socio-economic conditions as many of our parents are unemployment. Consequently, a significant number of our students lack access to vital reading resources outside of the school environment. I firmly believe that reading is fundamental to a child's holistic development, and therefore, every child should be provided with the opportunity to engage with books. The critical importance of reading in a child's development is paramount.Every child to be afforded this opportunity to read at a very young age.
Lotusville is grateful to AVBOB for these books.
We would be grateful if other sponsors can come on board and help us set up our library.

Lotusville Primary School once again claims the spotlight!
Nasreen Davids, a Reading Champion, receives commendation with regards to Phase 5 expectations of the Reading Champions Programme.
This accolade is recognised by the Verulam Circuit, the Pinetown District Office and the KZN Department of Education.
The Reading Champion Programme is an initiative of the Department of Education , which inspires a love for reading by promoting reading for enjoyment and creating a culture of literacy in schools and communities.
After an informative workshop on 22 August 2025, Miss Davids delved into her role as a Reading Champion.
With the guidance of her Educator Mentor, Mrs. T. Pillay, she has read many stories to each class from Grades 4 to 6, demonstrating reading skills and answering curious minds. She has worked closely with learners who need remediation and intervention.
At the end of each week, Miss Davids dutifully completed the questionnaire on the Reading Champion Chatbot.
Miss Davids has displayed true charisma and dedication.
We wish Miss Davids success in her future endeavours. Thank you ma'am, for flying the flag of Lotusville Primary School high🥳⭐🎉
