A unique Catholic-Christian day school for girls from grades 1 to 12, focusing on establishing firm foundations and preparedness in an unpredictable world.

Our school was founded for the glory of God and this must remain the cornerstone of all our academic, cultural and sporting endeavours. Religious Education therefore, holds a prime position among our teaching subjects throughout the school and every girl is expected to attend these classes. The aim of our religious education programme is to help our learners discern, respond to, and be transformed

The Grade 8 girls had an educational day learning about trade and transport. They explored the history of architecture, gentrification, and façadism. They giggled at the oldest toilet in Durban (some had to inspect it), and they heard the lion roar at the Lion Match Factory.

They also enjoyed an informative harbour cruise, followed by a well-earned lunch and dance at Spur.

Back at school, Vanessa Clark, a child dietitian, addressed the girls on how to fuel their bodies for a successful school day. They loved comparing what was in their lunch boxes, and many tips were shared on making their lunches more nutritious and balanced 💙

Our Grade 11s have enjoyed a chilly, adventurous few days at Bainesfield for their leadership camp. They have worked collaboratively, in sometimes uncomfortable spaces, in a beautiful and peaceful setting to gain new insights and skills.

We look forward to what this group will bring to leading our school forward in 2027💙.

Last week, some of our high school girls attended an isiZulu event at Curro, Salt Rock.

The event was a celebration of the isiZulu culture, with the girls experiencing, performing and learning about various isiZulu dances.

The girls had a wonderful time 💙. Thank you to Curro for hosting the event.

It has been a great start to Junior School hockey this term.

From our Grade 1 girls learning the foundations of hockey at their practices, to our Grade 2 and 3 girls enjoying festivals and gaining valuable match experience, confidence and skills along the way, our Junior School hockey programme has been wonderfully busy.

Our Senior Primary girls have also been enjoying a full calendar of weekly fixtures and tournaments, putting their skills into practice and growing with every game.

We look forward to a fantastic second half of the season 💙.

We are incredibly proud of our Grade 8 Debating Team consisting of Olivia Lien, Gehna Behary, Taia Hendra and Sanam Munsamy, who were crowned winners of the Durban Coastal Debating League Final, held at Clifton College last night. Throughout the season, the girls have demonstrated dedication, confidence and a genuine passion for debating. This is an outstanding achievement, and we could not be prouder of them.

We would also like to congratulate Dominique O’Brien, Ivy Githinji and Gehna Behary, who received certificates for placing among the overall Top 10 Speakers in the DCDL League. Another exceptional accomplishment and a wonderful reflection of their hard work and talent.

We are especially proud to celebrate that all these girls have been part of the Fatima family since the Primary Phase, embodying the values and spirit of a 12-year educational journey through Fatima. Their success is a wonderful testament to the growth, perseverance and opportunities that have shaped them throughout their years at our school.

Congratulations, ladies💙
