Our Lady of Fatima Dominican Convent School

Beneath the stars in the quad, we held our 1 hour winter soirées. In the beautiful old cloisters of the convent, the acoustics were clear and crisp, and the girls sang and played the piano, violin, drums, and guitar, showcasing what they had learned this year.

Both evenings filled our cup as these young ladies shared their musical journeys, making it wonderful and memorable 💙.

SA Schools Sport Top 12 Hockey Rankings

Our U14A, U16A, and 1st Hockey Teams finished in the Top 12 on the SA Schools Sport rankings, earning spots in the prestigious Top 12 Tournaments, which will take place in August.

This highlights the strength of our hockey programme and the dedication of our players and coaches 💙.

Congratulations to all involved. We wish our teams success as they compete against the top schools later on in the year.

Last week, the Fatima Parent Committee hosted their annual Ladies Games Evening. The ladies really embraced the Bright & Beautiful theme of the evening, the hall was filled with festive colours and outfits.

A special thank you to the Parent Committee for putting together another fun evening of laughter, camaraderie, and sisterhood. Thank you to everyone who generously contributed prizes to the event. It was truly a night to remember💙

Today, is World Oceans Day, and our Foundation Phase girls have been learning about the importance of protecting our marine spaces, linked to this year’s theme, “Strong Marine Protected Areas.”

They explored ocean layers and sea life, learned about protecting coral reefs, and discussed challenges like overfishing, plastic pollution, and global warming. Through fun activities such as making playdough coral reefs, playing memory games, watching underwater videos, and using a recycling board, the girls gained a deeper understanding of how to care for our oceans 💙
